2. I'm sure that this will be trumpeted by the media like the Zogby poll
showing McCain w/ a five-pt. lead ... Yes, that fair and balanced media will no doubt jump all over this one ... I'm holding my breath now ...

3. Only mentioned by ABC's This Week, so far today. But a lot of drumming up of the PUMA crazies.

6. Notice how the AP frames the same story
Poll: Obama holds onto slight lead (my emphasis)

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5ijClHoidEl8XEJMJoUooHU1R_nmgD92OI9A00

Slight? Slight?

Way outside the MoE:
"The ABC News-Washington Post poll was conducted Aug 19-22 and included interviews with 916 registered voters. It had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points."

The link to the full 26-page PDF poll (charts and all sorts of goodies) is at the end of the article if you're interested.

Also note that this poll was conducted BEFORE Biden was announced as the VP pick.

7. .."poll was conducted BEFORE Biden was announced as the VP pick"...
...not that they mention that anywhere, either.

God, I'm so SICK of this rightwing ass-kissing lame$tream media. If it was McSame 6 points over Obama it would be touted as a HUGE lead - and it'd be on the front pages everywhere.

8. The attempt to make people disinterested and assume nothing is at stake is another meme

About a Quarter of Americans Never Heard of Biden
(snip)
USA Today says Biden's ratings were lower than what John Edwards got in 2004 when John Kerry chose him. We doubt it's much cheer to Biden that they were higher than former Sen. Dan Quayle got when the first President Bush chose him in 1988.

Poll: Biden choice will have little impact

11. Notice how they hack the numbers
in the CQPolitics report to make it look like he has less support than he really does?

"About 3 in 10 of Democrats call the choice "excellent," 36 percent say "pretty good," 16 percent say "only fair' and 6 percent say "poor." Forty-five percent of independents call the choice excellent or and 35 percent rate it fair or poor."

33% say Excellent, 36% say pretty good. 33+36 = 69 + 15% can live with it = 84%.

And the Independents? Notice how they group them to make it look like they lean more poor than fair?

And lastly, 28% haven't heard of Biden? Well, those are probably Bush's crowd.

10. This is more bad news for Obama.
At least that's what ABC's telling me anyway.

13. The media doesn't care about facts.
They don't care about this country or lives. They care about ratings which equal money. They want a horse race, they want dead heat poll numbers. They will spin polls to reflect that as much as possible.
