about the 527's on our side
the money the repukes keep bringing up..wasn't a majority of that money used to go toward get out the vote presentations??? or did I misunderstand..I mean we didn't have a lot of advertising...but many more get out the vote efforts..correct?

I HATE these assholes who want to call foul because we have raised so much money...it finally puts us about even...

1. That's the way it USED to be.
These large dollar contributions used to go directly to the parties themselves but could NOT be used for advertising - only "party building activities" which largely included registration and get-out-the-vote efforts.

Today, the money flows in to 527s (and we're actually doing BETTER than the republicans this year) which CAN run adds with it... they just can't coordinate those ads with the party or candidates. But it's a "wink wink, nudge nudge" sort of thing.

2. I don't recall their outrage when * was labeled "Fundraiser in Chief."
They loved it when * was prancing about the country picking up millions at every stop. Let them whine. Who cares what they think.
