I'm relieved that Obama bypassed Bayh. That would have made it a real nothing ticket. Biden will add some zest to the ticket. I don't always agree with him, but I think his heart is in the right place and he's a real human being.

4. Yes - that 30 minutes last night after the Drudge post about the
bumper stickers was pure hell. And then them showing Bayh taking his sons to tennis lessons - just what we need to counteract the elitist label!

5. Given a choice between Biden & Bayh
I would have chosen Joe Biden - hands down. I like Evan Bayh's father alright, but the acorn fell pretty far from that tree IMO. I can't imagine Birch Bayh being much enamored of his son's affiliation with the DLC.

7. I would have been devastated. Sad to say with Kaine too. Kaine..
is just too mild-mannered to do Obama any good.

8. Biden wasn't my first choice, but Bayh sure as hell was my last...
I'm fine with Biden on the ticket.

9. indeed, not to sound too cynical, but relief is my strong emotion about the selection of Sen.Biden
not that Sen. Biden is some kind of dove or anti-Imperialist, because he is not. but when compared to a fringie foreign policy neoconservative nut-job like Bayh - Biden sounds like a like a speaker at an anti-war rally
