McCain Camp calls on Obama to condemn new Cindy McCain "Priceless" FL ad
Edited on Fri Aug-22-08 03:28 PM by sabra

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/08/florida-dems-hi.html

<snip>

Obama told CBN's David Brody that "I would never consider making Cindy McCain a campaign issue, and if I saw people doing that - I would speak out against it. And the fact that I haven't seen that from John McCain I think is a deep disappointment."

McCain spox Jill Hazelbaker said in a statement: “It is profoundly disappointing to see surrogates for Barack Obama attacking Cindy McCain, particularly after Obama himself claimed that ‘families are off limits’ and pledged to ‘speak out against’ attacks on spouses in this campaign. If Barack Obama expects the American people to believe he is a man of his word, he has a personal responsibility to condemn this ad.”

1. The ad doesn't say anything bad about her!
It just shows her talking about "gettng around" in Arizona. . You know...Where he's the Senator?

23. All they did was show her face and play the audio
I guess Cindy McCain actually speaking and allowing her face to be shown on television is an insult.

Remember, wives aren't allowed to actually speak in McMansion's world.

so I see no need for Obama to show his "concern".

6. Obama should say that he'll be happy to condemn the ad.
As soon as mccain can show him where he condemned the TN anti-Michelle Obama ads. If he can't do that then the old nutjob can go fuck himself.

16. Cindy McCain jumps on Michelle Obama's comment
"I am proud of my country. I don't know about you, if you heard those words earlier. I am very proud of my country."

McCain is attacking Obama's patriotism with ads that border on calling him treasonous. McCain told Dems they can't take a joke when asked to condemn Corsi's book.

FU McClown.

not to mention the c*nt remark and hiding behind her on the homes issue. He disrespects her more than the Democratic Party would ever dream to.

Didn't know there weren't any ROADS THERE!!! Thanks, Cindy, for letting me know that I cannot afford to get around your state because I don't own a small private plane.

How is this attacking Cindy McCain? It's a clip of her in her own words. Did she attack herself?

Hey Johnny, go fuck yourself.

22. So he should condemn it
Play a little "good cop/bad cop" the way the Republicans do ALL THE TIME. Obama can look good for condemning the ad and it can still run, because he has no control over the Florida Democratic Party. That's how he should have played it with the 527's too instead of shutting them down by discouraging his donors from contributing.

Alcohol heiress.
Other woman.
Addict.
Felon.
Trollop.
****.
Liar.
Snob.

They really don't want to mix it up, do they?

30. Yet when TN Repubs went after Michelle, McSame didn't condemn it.
Edited on Fri Aug-22-08 03:59 PM by seasat
The FDP ad is not an attack on Cindy like the Tennessee ad was on Michelle. McCain refused to condemn the ad. He said:

The GOP video played Michelle Obama’s comment six times from earlier this year that she was proud of her country “for the first time in my adult life”.

In Nashville Monday, McCain was non-committal, saying he opposed “any campaign messages that entailed personal attacks” but at the same time he “was not going to be the referee.”

“I’m not going to look at every ad and say this is appropriate and this isn’t appropriate,” McCain said. “That’s not my job to do.”

What a Frackin' hypocrite.

Added thought on edit: If I were Obama, I'd throw this quote right back in his face.
