I stepped into a bar en route home and got into a conversation with this guy, mid-20s, unshaven, baseball cap on backwards...

...who said he delivered pizzas.

'Said he couldn't be more frustrated and ready to quit if he had to.

'Said he'd been driving around for days on end trying to find McCain's missing house. He wasn't sure even WHICH of McCain's houses he was delivering the pizza TO, let alone where it was.

"These goddam Republicans think gas is free," he snarled, his face twisted in disappointment. "Well, it isn't. I have to pay for my own gas so these rich elitists can munch pizza."

I could offer him no solace. If McCain doesn't know how many houses he has, I couldn't direct this pizza guy to the one that gets the pizza delivery.

No wonder the economy is going to the dogs.
