It's terrible that McCain being a POW makes him unable to remember the # of houses he owns.

That's really sad. BUT, how can he possibly run this country if being a prisoner of war has left him in such a condition?

Furthermore, since country first is the creed he lives by, I really can't imagine that in his heart of hearts that he wants to be President.

2. I think country first is the theme of their convention. I hope the outside groups really hammer him
on this theme.

3. Yeah, we should cut the guy some slack.
He's obviously been through a lot and he's getting on in years. It's not surprising that he makes these gaffes. He has serious medical and psychological issues and we shouldn't be making fun of that. Senility and PTSD are no laughing matter. And it's not like he bought those houses with his own money anyway so you can hardly expect him to keep track of all of Cindy's real estate holdings.

4. I posted this today about use of McBush's POW status
I was on my local newspaper's comment section and some jackass decided that Obama was elite for going to Harvard and a subsequent poster let the OP know Obama used student loans. I quoted the OPs smart assed response and added some comments of my own:

OK smarty....FYI, you don't need to take out loans for the naval academy. You just have to give up 6 years of your life in a tortue chamber.

Uhm, McBush got into the Naval Academy as a legacy of his father and grandfather - both Naval Admirals; a status McBush would never be able to reach due to his graduating 5th from the bottom of his class. However, way to confuse the issue by trying to tie his priviliged education to his POW status - it doesn't work and is a poorly thought out argument.

I respect McCain for his service; however, his past POW status does not excuse him for all of the f__ck ups in his life he's made since that time. Being a POW didn't make him cheat on his first wife for several years nor divorce her to marry his mistress; nor did it make him participate in the Keating 5 scandal; nor did being a POW prevent him from voting (AT ALL) in 2008 on bills affecting our veterans; McBush has done all of these things (and more) on his own, his POW status notwithstanding.

You McBush reporters are starting to sound like Guilianni when he was on the stump (noun, verb, 9-11), except it's "John, McCain, POW" and that's all you have for him.

5. A "president" McCain would blame EVERY mistake he makes on being a POW.
it's an excuse when he needs, and it's a vote-getter when he wants to use it.

he's pissing off vets with his milking of his military service.

RELEASE YOUR MILITARY RECORD TO THE PUBLIC, MR. MCCAIN!!!

WHAT ARE YOU HIDING???!!
