...that alone reduces her ego to a fraction of any of the male choices.

21. Wow.
What a broad generalization. I've known women with HUGE egos and men as humble as they come. Particular genitals do not cause massive egos. A sense of entitlement causes massive egos and women AND men can have that.

26. I agree...it is a broad generalization.
But not that broad. Pick up any psychology book and look in the glossary. You will find the term "male ego". You will not find the term "female ego". Of course there are some women with bigger egos then some men, but, in general, men have much bigger egos.

I don't know of any women like that. It was Freud who came up with it in the first place. Not a woman.

32. You have GOT to be joking.
Hillary's ego is 10 times bigger than that of any man I know.

Celine Dion and Whitney Houston (before the crack) would be two other examples. Ego knows no gender.

39. She experienced the biggest humiliation of anyone I can think of...
Edited on Thu Aug-21-08 05:53 PM by RichGirl
...and she forgave and survived and became stronger. That's not ego, it's humility. A person with a big ego would have been destroyed. Look at Elizabeth Edwards...how many men could stand by their wife if she put them through that humiliation. One of the reasons it doesn't happen as much with women is because women don't have such big egos that they think they can get away with it.

But I guess it's okay for Hillary Clinton to do it, cuz she & her husband are CLINTONS!!!! :eyes:

27. ROFL!!!
No, yesterday someone mentioned to me that the one he was posting in was #121. I've seen several more today. The number I put above was a tongue in cheek guesstimate but probably pretty close.

And..."more than yours did?" What are you talking about? I rarely start threads at all. And I've not ever started a thread about Hillary needing to be VP, LOL.

There have been a SLEW of these the last two or three days. A new one pops up about every hour or more. Thus my comment.

Sadly, I know plenty of racist democrats. And, yes, not all republicans are racist. But, it is safe to say that the rabid Hillary haters are probably not supporting Obama at the moment. Rush Limbaughs fans aren't going to remove their Obama bumpersticker if he chooses Hillary as VP. Sexism, racism, Hillary hate...it's all hate and they are most likely the same people who aren't going to vote on our side anyway.

...a man committed to unifying the party. How can he possibly ignore half the democrats.....the half that supported Hillary. Many of them, like myself, support him, but that doesn't mean we have forgotten her and don't continue to believe that she can make a difference. For him to ignore the will of half the democrats is big...SO BIG! I will vote for him if he picks a potted plant to be VP, but not with the same enthusiasm.

33. There ARE no "warring factions"!!
The vast majority of Hillary supporters are on board with whomever Obama picks. There are a few crazed people claiming to be Hillary supporters (but who are most likely Repukes in disguise); and there are the Obama supporters who are also fine with whomever Obama picks. In order for there to be warring factions there needs to be more than one side interested in fighting -- and other than some crazed PUMAs there isn't anyone running around looking for a fight.

There may be "warring factions" here on DU, but I doubt that Obama will make a choice simply to appease us.
