Iraq (and 2 other issues) Have Just Blown Up in McCain's Face!
Breaking this morning is that Rice is in Baghdad going over the details of troop withdrawls per the tentative agreements of yesterday. Since Obama wants this and Bush is now doing it, is McCain going to run around the country and accuse Bush, too, of being a "traitor"? Time to point out that McCain is the only one not playing in reality and has some delusional picture of "victory" in his head that he cannot even define.

Second, Kaine interviewed on CNN this morning brought up an incident from yesterday (that I didn't know happened) - McCain was asked how many homes he has and he couldn't answer! Kaine quickly tied that with how McCain is concerned with how the rich are doing in this bad economy and has no clue how the rest of the country is hurting----keep pushing it!

Third, was the bombshell from yesterday: McCain supporter talks about the chasing Osama to the "gates of hell" and says we need to reinstate the draft and McCain answers: I agree with everything you say. Time to point out the wars McCain is fighting in his mind (Iraq, Iran, Russia, etc.)and say that we now know where he's planning on getting the troops for all of this since our troops are stretched too thin. In other words, is McCain a fucking, nut job, head case who, like Bush, governs in a cloud of "delusions"? (We can't attack His self-congratulatory "patriotism" but we can attack his sanity---maybe John wants to take us all with him when he checks out!!!)

You got the ammo now, Obama---USE IT!!!

1. All good points by you and what is unbelievable is that if anyone with any sense has listened to
McCain and had any intelligence at all would have to see through this guy that he is not in reality or flat out cannot remember anything, shoots from the hip, he has no clue about geography, world leaders, nothing. He uses phrases like "I know how to win wars". Has the media ever asked him how or what wars he has won. He said with Osamba; "I know how to get him" and will follow him to the gates of hell. If this was so important with his buddy GWB, then why didn't he volunteer those services sooner and go to the gates of hell and get him. He talks about elitism and wears $550 Feragomo shoes, owns 5 to 6 homes across America, comes from one of the wealthiest families in AZ. I mean, it doesn't take a genius that this guy would probably be even more dangerous than the one we got in the WH now because I actually believe he believes he is a genius.

4. EvAres--isn't it frightening how much like Bush he is
I'm talking now about way more than just "on policy". His whole life in the shadow of father and grandfather. Sent to best schools and is still dumber than a pound of numb. Totally not curious about anything--hence can't find his own butt with a map. Only wants war, glorious war. This country better start waking up to the fact that this guy is Bush on steroids!!!

7. Yes, it is very frightening indeed. You know every time I see this guy and watch him,

it makes me think of the Manchurian Candidate for some reason. As you say, the similarities between him and Bush in curiosity, intelligence, wealthy families. I cannot believe the American people will again fall for something like this but as powerful as the corporate media is and look how they constantly promote McCain, do not question anything about him and constantly critique Barack and constantly question everything about him from his religion to his patriotism without good cause. Their constant question of why can't Obama close the deal is because of them as it is amazing he is even in the lead with the corporate media the way they are.

I hope and have faith in the younger voters that they will get out and vote because they can and do see through McCain.

K&R.

9. One other point
The media hides behind the shield that "we all know McCain". That's pure crap. Obviously as we can see, the American people don't really know this ambitious bastard at all. Even from his own writing he says he doesn't care about policies, positions, whatever. He says he just wants to be president......again, shades of the clown who now holds the poisition.

the thing about "experience" gets me of which the media could expound on much more. Experience means nothing unless you have learned from your experience. What counts is first your curiosity for learning, intelligence is certainly needed, leadership is very important and the ability to organize and be able to gain the respect of those around you as well as your adversaries. Barack Obama has all of those qualities.

They have talked about flip-flipping a lot with Barack who has only maybe changed his mind to where he thinks it might be the better idea after more information or sometimes things change.

McCain on the other hand either cannot get his stories straight, his age has demented his ability to remember or he just lies.

For example the story he told in Pittsburg about reciting the entire offensive line while a POW but in his book it was the Greenbay Packers.

He told at that faith forum the other night about now his name escapes me (hope I don't have the McCain disease) he was one of his 3 most important people for ideas or something. He is a black congressman but he has stated McCain has not once picked up the phone and called him.

His story about Mother Theresa and his wife has been proven to be bunk and they have now taken it off of McCain's website. There are others as well, cannot remember all of them.

Where is the media on all of this?

It is amazing that Barack is even in the lead having to fight the lies of McCain, the republican party and the media.

2. Classic Demo-apathy - they've got the ammo - but they're saving it up...for something...that never..
emerges.

You're right, McCain is wide open for a couple of decisive punches, but if the Obama camp won't clench their fists and start swinging, all that potential is wasted.

Good on Kaine for pointing out the obvious about McCain's obscene contempt for the majority of the country.

10. So is Kaine, an Obama surrogate, doing a good job or not?

You say he is while simultaneously saying the Obama camp, which includes Kaine, is not doing anything.

6. US-Iraq coming together on timetables, not time horizon
Edited on Thu Aug-21-08 09:07 AM by cal04
how quickly they changed words from July until now
definitely time for an Obama attack not only on McCain but this whole administration

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080821/ap_on_re_mi_ea/us_iraq

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said Thursday they agree that timetables should be set for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the battle-scarred country.

U.S., Iraq seek troop withdrawal 'time horizon'

Swipe at Obama?

The BBC's Adam Brookes in Washington says the announcement is designed to encourage the idea that US troops are coming home, without committing to any dates.

Our correspondent notes that the reference to an "arbitrary date" could well be a swipe at Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama's plan to withdraw combat troops from Iraq within 16 months of taking office.

Bush Concedes, Embraces a 'General Time Horizon' For Iraq Troop Withdrawal
The White House's concession today comes after years of resistance to even considering the prospect of a timetable for withdrawing troops, particularly when it came from Congress. Some lowlights of the administration's stubborn rhetoric:

8. Keep screaming about these three points
..until Obama puts them in an ad. TV news is "visual" that's why they run all these McCain ads over and over for free while salivating over the "attacks". Obama talking about things or putting out press releases don't make it because they are not "visual". Thus, any points Obama has been trying to make have gone nowhere. Take these three things and in separate ads (be they just on the web or what)and put them out there as attack ads. The media will pick up on "attack"--their favorite word. Keep pounding these points until they wake up and do something EFFECTIVE with them.
