There is absolutely NO WAY that Hillary Clinton is going to be the VP nominee
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 08:04 PM by zulchzulu
Not only would it be a big mistake, but the fact that the Obama campaign is giving Hillary and Bill Clinton so much exposure and prime time speeches is absolutely the obvious reason why Hillary Clinton will not be the VP nominee.

For the Obama campaign to give the Clintons such air time and then give Hillary Clinton the VP nomination would be completely and totally against what the message Obama has been delivering since he began running. As much as Republicans, eager MSM puppets, Hillary supporters still reeling from the primary season and even PUMAs that want to derail Obama's campaign might want to spin the fallacy, Hillary Clinton will in no way be the VP nominee.

This is not an "attack" on the Clintons. It is a big, icy bucket of cold water on the virtual faces of those that think she even has the inkling of a chance.

PM me if you want to be a cool thousand dollars if you disagree. I'd love to take your money.

:hi:

1. You don't know that- none of us knows who will or will not be the VP
These threads have gotten down right silly.

5. I'm so confident that I'd bet $1,000 that she won't be the nominee
I think I know she won't be the nominee and my OP should give you a general idea why.

Again, this has NOTHING to do with the Clintons. It has to do with the next generation of politics.

9. I'm not saying it has anything to do with her.
I'm just saying that none of us truly knows. We all have thoughts and opinions, but until it is announced non of us knows.

2. Just a point of order
The schedule for the convention can be altered at any time.

Also, everybody on the short list already has a speaking slot, so the schedule for the convention WILL BE ALTERED once we know who is the veep.

3. I agree
she and Bill (anyone of that note) take too much oxygen out of the room

I think that this hysteria is one part Clinton and two parts DC trying to put the new guy away.

4. He'll do whatever he thinks will give him the best chance to win.
And that means either a Virginian or Hillary. I wouldn't get too hung up on the notion of his principles.

6. Still, all this attention has got to be making her feel better.
Surely the lady deserves at least that.

18. Yeah, her primary behavior got her a lot of attention and
support from the m$m and they're still whipping it up.

And Obama is handling it beautifully.

7. Why would they make the Hillary supporters excited to just take it away.. It would be
a big disapointment and would leave a more divided party..

16. well
lots of other people have said that they are trying to hint that it WON'T be Clinton, and that is why they were given a lot of convention time. To pay a tribute to her campaign, since it's not going to be her.

I don't think that they're "dangling" any possibility or providing false hope.

14. You may be right
Richardson is my first choice. I think he brings the most to the table for the VP position. We'll see.

20. The Obama team is smart, the way they're keeping us all in suspense suggests it could be a big name
They should have known that this Hillary stuff would resurrect itself if they played it out for a full week. So they're either building suspense for a Hillary or Gore VP...or they've made a miscalculation about this roll out (not necessarily the pick...)

21. no it will be one of the yawn inducing other names mentioned
here often.
Bayh. Boring. Kaine and Warner. Most Americans don't even know them. Biden. Didn't he say something racist about Obama? uh, good choice there. I'm sure Im leaving some out but you get the drift. Anyway, he has to win this on his own. Not his VP pick. Next.
