Latest state poll of Florida by Rasmussen shows a tight race--Bush 49% and Kerry 47%. Their previous poll had Kerry up by two-points--47-45.

15. I hear Charlie has helped Bush
No, not the one in Vietnam...the hurricane. No one is attacking his brother and the media (probably rw) says he has handled the situation well so bro W is probably bennefitting from that. It will come back down once hurricane fever has passed.

7. I hope

If we lose Florida and Ohio, this race will be a nail biter of extreme proportions and will allow election day corruption to affect the outcome yet again.

9. We won't lose FL
I know too many people here who have registered to vote just to throw Bush the hell out. These people are not reflected in the polls.

11. Don't put too much stock in polls...

I remember when Hillary was running for the Senate in New York; the Quinnipeac/Marist Institute was polling her and Lazio at 50/50 the day before the election. She won by 17 points - the largest margin of victory in New York state politics, ever.

Most polls don't take statistically significant samples; then there's the spin that the pollsters put on their questions. The only important poll is the one that's going to take place on November 2.

Get out and VOTE.

13. Florida voters now on vacation!
Many of us transplanted retired northerners now live in Florida in the winter months, but still spend our summer vacations up north. Therefore we are not in Florida right now to respond to telephone polls. Fear not, we will make it back to Florida before November, and most of us will be voting for Kerry! Jeb Bush and Co. will have a tough time trying to steal the election for his brother this time!
