Is Obama Spending His Money?

I have been seeing nonstop campaign ads for McCain in the past several weeks but have only seen one Obama spot (about how we need to invest in alternative energy sources, something that preaches to the liberal choir but doesn't exactly speak to swing voters, or the middle class workers who just want to see gas prices go down right away). And McCain's numbers have crept up significantly over this time period. Is the Obama campaign withholding spots so that they can overrun McCain with a TV blitz in the last 10 weeks? Because I'm getting really nervous.

I hope Obama is practicing his ass off for these debates.

1. No need to get nervous. Obama can throw down a money bomb

at the perfect moment.

It truth, the average Joe still isn't paying close attention to the election. After the Olympics and after Labor Day, the campaign enters the final lap.

6 weeks before the election is when all eyes will be on the race.

ETA: Obama IS spending his money. He is opening offices across the country. Many many offices with paid staffers. Boots on the ground. He can afford that, mcpow cannot.

2. I just posted this - here is the "problem" ...
1) McCain is blowing out all his money now in advance of taking the federal funding, as noted, so it APPEARS he is spending more of his money now...
2) He will get the public financing after the convention ...
3) He ALSO is STILL fundraising, with the money going to the RNC and other side groups ...
4) Between being handed 80 million or so from public financing and the fund raising that will be done under other groups, he will pretty much end up being even with BO in money ...
5) BO is spending A LOT of ground game, which is good, but McCain is spending next to nothing on it, simply relying on established republican GOTV ... This leaves the immediate impression, and allows the pundits to spew that McCain is "outspending" Obama ...
6) BO is spreading his money around to A LOT more areas than McCain ... McCain has picked a handful of states he is going to challenge, BO is in many more states ...
7)All of this is going to leave the impression in some key battle ground states that McCain is "spending" more money because he will have more ad air time ...
8) One last note ... As an added little bonus for McCain, not that he isn't running some retarded A negative ads under his own flag, but the ads run by the RNC and other groups will be even MORE negative ...

I have no problem with how Obama is running his campaign, but as it turns out, McCain is VERY easily gaming federal financing, to his benefit in a BIG way ...
What is rig
