McCain has an adverse reaction to sound of jangling keys... and his temper erupts disproportionate
Edited on Tue Aug-19-08 02:14 PM by cryingshame
to the source of provocation.

There are behaviors associated with the candidate that would be consistent with a diagnosis of PTSD. Author Robert Timberg mentions McCain's intense explosions of anger --- a hallmark sign of lingering mental trauma from war -- in his book "John McCain: An American Odyssey." Timberg describes the episodes as "an eruption of temper out of all proportion to the provocation." Timberg, who McCain has said "knows more about me than I do," wrote that McCain's sudden fury is a result of Vietnam coming "back to haunt him." McCain has himself described having an adverse reaction to the sound of jangling keys, which reminds him of his Vietnam jailers. McCain also told doctors that during solitary confinement he had strayed pretty "far out" and had referred to himself as "mentally deteriorating."

36. I love it. I have absolutely no problem with this. This is war.
McCain's campaign has lied, pulled dirty tricks, and done everything conceivable to steal this election and we haven't even seen the filthy attack ads they'll play in the final weeks of this election.

I have no problem with Obama's campaign using anything and everything to come a little closer to leveling the playing field. If that makes me a bad person - well, I never claimed otherwise.

And I for one have to question whether a man with untreated PTSD is fit for the presidency. I'd say he isn't, personally.

7. This is probably REALLY evil of me...
but this just makes me think that it would be great if some Vietnamese speakers were to go to McCain events and stand in line to meet him, jingling keys and saying things like 'it's time for the one in number seven; he's almost ready to break' to each other (in Vietnamese, of course) in low voices as they get closer. Imagine the headlines: 'McCain attacks Vietnamese-American supporters in fit of psychotic rage'.

If McLame has some type of mental deficiency it needs to be brought out into the open. As a matter of fact I don't understand why all candidates running should not have psychological testing to ensure they are fit for office. Police officers, fire fighters (i think) are tested so why not the POTUS?

34. While it might be useful and even fun...
it really shouldn't be necessary. McCain will probably lose the race without jangling keys distracting him.

If Obama supporters employ tactics like these, McCain supporters will find ways to retaliate. The election process will degenerate and begin to resemble some college movie like Animal House.

Obama has charisma and gives the speeches since Kennedy or Reagan. Obama promises hope and change. McCain is the old school once again. Obama has hair. McCain is going bald. Bald guys don't win the Presidency. (Not recently.)

The U.S. has had more than five bald Presidents, but Americans haven't voted one into office in 51 years, when Dwight Eisenhower won a second term over Adlai Stevenson--the second consecutive election in which two bald men went head to glorious head.
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1675631,00.html

McCain might improve his chances if he shaved his head and got a couple of tattoos and started riding a Harley. He does like bikers and apparently sees his wife as a biker chick.

For a good laugh watch this video:

37. All the DUers screaming "Don't go there" have obviously not been paying attention to politics
for the past 20 (or more) years.

1) The sanity of a candidate for the White House is a legitimate issue.

2) There is nothing that should be off-limits if it is true.

3) The pukes will use every dirty trick in the book (that they wrote) and for us to do less is suicide.

4) Ignoring a weakness of an enemy is plain stupid.

5) If, as the Obamaites have been saying all along, WINNING is the only thing that matters (so liberals are supposed to mute our criticism of our nominee and vote for him even if we have doubts), then why would we leave this weapon holstered?

43. OK PTSD from 'Nam, but it does not explain his behavior at
the Naval Academy where his nickname was "McNasty" for being a mean SOB. More likely the result of his upbringing as a primadonna, aloof little brat, above it all - where he did not have to study to get into Anapolis, let alone perform while there. His daddy and grandaddy - the admirals, always protected him. Now, with his wife's fortune, he is immune from needing to exhibit the normal social graces to get along with other people in the workplace and other settings that most of us had to learn. He doesn't even treat her well in public - he must be a bastard in private. My elderly mother-in-law has long referred to him as "that Nasty Little Man" and she never knew his old nickname.

He has been mistreating people for a long time, before and after the Hanoi Hilton. So, this is a man who is personally widely disliked, by the people closest to him, like Republicans and devout Christians who will not come out in droves to vote for him. Obama will win 54% to McCain 41% with 5% for independents.
