Why wouldn't McCain announce his VP choice on his 72nd birthday?
Edited on Tue Aug-19-08 03:38 AM by Kire
Why wouldn't the oldest Presidential candidate ever pick his 72nd birthday to release the most newsworthy routine announcement of the campaign? The talking heads would have nothing else to talk about if he didn't pick that day to "celebrate". NBC should be grateful.

:sarcasm:

1. Right, to take the focus off McCain's age AND to take away headlines & momentum from....
Edited on Tue Aug-19-08 03:13 AM by LaPera
the end of the Democratic National Convention....Two in one....The Dems should have something going except only depending on the convention for their headlines....Because up next will be the republican convention.

Dems need to play republican ball and take some steps ahead, instead of letting the republicans dictate the pace, dialogue and what "issues & bullshit will be discussed!

The Dems need to make McCain's birthday an issue, McSame obviously being the usual republican 'ranch' cowboy, puppet and his coming senility, (if not already) instead of his announcement of his VP nomination becoming the top story.

Obama is the lead dog in the pack right now. McCain appears to be sucking fumes.

3. Maybe we should send him stuff so he'll know we didn't forget?
Like pampers?

Or combs, or anything that lets him know we remember how fucking old he is.

7. I wonder how hard it would be to make post cards ...
...using this picture...

and send them to everyone: McCain, all the media outlets, etc.?

Maybe add a comment about how the priority for an old man while people are drowning is to celebrate his birthday because he's so fucking old he might not get another chance.

Or words to that effect.
