What the hell is this??

Remember the Sinclair Broadcasting Group thing with John Kerry back in '04? They're doing the same thing to Obama tonight on FNC. An hour devoted with no pretenses to just bashing Obama.

Can they do this?

1. No one really takes Fox seriously, so it's fine.

12. It still has as many viewers as CNN and MSNBC combined
FOX is faded from its 9/11 heights, but still America's top source of cable news.

9. It's faux and the repubs are desperate....
They are having to play their "Aces" much earlier in hopes of a "hail-mary pass" for McCain.

14. Oh they're doing one on McCain too?
That should be interesting. Tonight's freaky thing was just "Obama the drug addict", "Obama the sleazeball" stuff all night long (or at least in the 20 minutes or so that I watched).

This thing exceeds the Sinclair Kerry documentary.

They showed a picture of his step-father with the face digitally blurred out. Why? I don't know. But it sure made him seem sinister.

20. Dobbs was bellyaching how unfair it was that Obama had more media coverage.
he didn't mention the time spent on him like this Fox tear-down. to him more coverage is good coverage.

what a dumbsicle.

17. Fact is that Obama actually did well with the born again crowd
He held his own and picked off the younger crowd as expected. He will do much better than Kerry with these folk and they know it.
This is just my personal gut feeling as I have yet to see or hear of any post event polls or even questions asked of the audience in attendance. This adds to my skepticism.

22. Its The $250 Million In Kind Campaign Contribution From News Corp
Edited on Mon Aug-18-08 07:35 PM by Median Democrat
At a certain point, I would like to see a challenge to all these free replays given of McCain's attack ads. In other words, a comparison of all the free play given to McCain's attack ads on Fox News, and an analysis of the fair market value of such national showings. I recall that the Paris Hilton ad was only played six times, but it receives hours of National air play, particularly on Fox.

The election challenge I would like to see is the DNC sue the RNC and McCain for failing to declare the fair market value of this free air play on their campaign disclosure statements.
