Edited on Thu Aug-14-08 06:19 PM by Kerry2008
You were wrong. She wants us unified, and will cast her vote for Obama. And she's urging her supporters privately to do the same.

And the adviser also says that Clinton wasn't the one who pushed for the Convention compromise.

Senator Clinton is trying to help unify the party, not turn the Convention into a zoo.

You were wrong, now admit it. And please apologize to those of us who had to put up with your attacks, and smears.

Thanks :hi:

P.S. If you have nothing smart to say, please don't scream "PUMA" I'm voting for Obama. Thanks!!

1. I am proud of her and thinks this is a great move.
For unity, for softening hard feelings, for showing she does indeed care about party and the country above self,....for many reasons.

23. It would probably seem extraordinary to any low-information Clinton-basher who'd've said they "knew"
Clinton wouldn't do anything for Obama.

And we have had such under-informed people here.

By the way, Obama and Clinton got approximately the same number of votes. And it's wise of Obama to give Clinton and her supporters the recognition they deserve.

We need a unified party to win in November, and childish, sarcastic swipes at Clinton don't help.

57. More paranoid Clinton-bashing. Just because she thought she would be the better nominee
does not mean she wants McCain to win.

You can post paranoid fantasies about what Democratic leaders think, but that does not make them the truth. Any more than the silliest online speculation alleging all sorts of nonsense about Obama is the truth. When you post this kind of thing, you sound like a freeper.

58. You have no proof to back up the statement she doesn't want Obama to win.
NONE.

Heres a little proof to suggest you're wrong:

She's campaigned for him, she's fundraised him. Her endorsement of him did more for party unity than any other person in the party, including our nominee himself Barack Obama.

Making shit up won't change a damn thing. Hillary is behind Barack, 100%!!

77. Since she isn't the nominee, she can't be president this time anyway. Duh. And if
he doesn't win, Democratic legislation that means a lot to her has little or no chance of passing.

And even if he doesn't win, that doesn't necessarily mean she'll run again in 2012. Anything could happen.

Yet you think this very intelligent, dedicated woman simply wants to see Obama lose -- which is likely to mean that lots of Democratic politicians she knows and likes will also lose, if there isn't enough Democratic turnout -- simply so she can be president in four years...IF she decides to run then, and if she wins the primary race, and if she wins the GE.

Wow, what a strange alternate universe you live in...

by Clinton and her supporters was the gospel truth? So, you are all as pure as driven snow and butter will not melt in your mouths and you have absolutely nothing to apologize to Obama for anything? I don't think that everything that was said about the Clintons was a smear or untrue, but why bother with such trivial details?

Have you a link to her saying this? I only heard via CNN that an anonymous adviser said this but, given your OP, you must have a link to her, herself, saying this, right?

I can't wait for the clip of her stating this, it should be on YouTube very soon as this is BIG news!

When I hear this from Hillary's own mouth, I will be the first to applaud her. Until then, count me as remaining unconvinced.

Hillary has not said this herself and until she does I do not trust her. I hope that is crystal clear.

20. Don't hold your breath for any damned "apology"
Month after month, the Tender Sensibilities of some here had to be catered to. So we tried a dialogue, despite being labelled "cultists" - a pejorative that clearly was a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Now they are (unsurprisingly) posting on Capital Hill Forum and other anti-Obama sites. Which was their primary motivation to begin with, anyway.

I don't remember ever receiving, or seeking, some damned "apology" from them. Now you come here with that crap again.

Take your apology, and - well, just forget about it. You're not getting one, nor or you entitled to one.

And cut that "apologize to me" crap out. We had enough of it around here to last a lifetime.

This little group of posters disappeard for a few weeks, only to return posting "PUMA" stories every few minutes.

Hillary might, in fact, vote for Obama during the roll call...how magnanimous of her. But if you think for one moment that everything she is doing is not calculated then you are just as guilty of the same "stars in your eyes" that you and the PUMA's accuse the Obama supporters of having. The right thing to do was not to allow her name to be placed in nomination. Let her speak, let her savor the accolades she deserves for being female and doing so well. Let her supporters parade through the convention floor, hooping and hollering. Then sit down and shut up and present a truly unified front to the world. If she is the wonderful person you profess her to be...well, she isn't proving to me.

As for an apology...you will get none from me. I wanted to support her but her tactics, her "Bosnia" story, aligning herself with the likes of Mark Penn and her DLC connections...no, no support for Hillary and no apology to you.

63. I must assume you are NOW...
supporting Obama, now that he is the nominee. But that doesn't excuse you from taking such a sanctimonious attitude with the people on this board that do not agree with you. How dare you ask anyone here for an apology when they are only expressing their opinions.

49. Demands for an apology are typically very lame.
Such as this one.

66. Of course she will vote for Obama. If she didn't she would harm her chances in 2012.
But that doesn't mean that she might not be maneuvering behind the scenes to pull off her own agenda.
