A little encouragement for this Ohioan...

I got a voice mail today from the Ohio GOP; asking me to vote for John McCain, female voice, they used his name at least 5 times. I was registered as an independent until this spring, when I figured I might as well register Dem since it's the way I vote. So a couple things,
1. they are working from old call lists. (I'm not sure how soon my new registration would take, but seems like they would be able to pull it up by now).
2. they are worried. this is pretty early for what sounded like a desperate attempt to gain my vote.

So I think this is good news. Maybe it's the Obama barn painting that has them a little scared...

2. Might Want to Check and Make Sure You Are Still Registered

…and check again in another month. Ohio is getting ready to do another voter purge.

3. Heck, they're sending my husband stuff from the Republican party

and he filled it out and said he was voting for liberals for the next 10 years as the last option of why he wasn't donating!!! We sent it back in the prepaid envelope. I don't know how he got on the list. This is the first time in his life he's ever received anything like this. He doesn't vote in primaries usually, except for this year and he voted for Obama so he should pop up as a "D" on the voter roll histories....I think they're desperate.

4. I have a distrubing theory about this.

I wonder if the GOP are sending things out to all white voters, regardless of their affiliations.

5. I had wondered that as well,

or if, because I'm over 40, white and female, they think I could switch?

I've also gotten emails from the GOP as well as McCain....first time for that too....
