Hey! Been working on this one for WEEKS. creating a Flash Animation Series utilizing "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Yellow Submarine" clips - Featuring the Republicans as "Blue Meanies", and Obama as Sgt Pepper!!This is the First of a Series, and is entitled,

-->> "McCain: ENVIRON - MENTAL" <<--- and I mention the fact that HE'S RATSHIT CRAZY here and there, since the Media doesn't seem to much care.

Among my very Best work, over Eight Years of springing my goods Here on the DU. Please have a look, turn up those Speakers, enjoy, and get this VIRAL. I KNOW that Obama wants to see himself as a Sgt Pepper Beatles Original! That's what McCain needs to be told - "There's a REASON Obama is a Celebrity, it's because PEOPLE LOVE THE GUY, YA IDIOT!"

1. Mixed - some very clever, but some a little too mean

Keep it more positive. The title - tragical - didn't like that to start.
Fool on the hill was brilliant.
Leave Brittany alone. A lot of people know she's got problems and were offended by McCain's bringing her into it.
Lots of very astute comments on what McCain is up to.

2. Why not watch the whole thing before commenting?

And as for the political correctness "keep it positive" message, that's exactly what we don't need. Republicans invented political correctness to have us turning circles, and it's been very effective.

Symbolman's a pro at this - he knows what he's doing, and this one is very effective.

Britney is fair play - she espouses Republican beliefs, and it was ridiculous for McCain to bring her into the whole thing - it's not Symbolman bringing her in, it's John McCain.

He asked what I thought. So, continuing on with what I thought, also where Bush says "if this was a dictatorship" etc., people outside of DU might not know the reference and not realize it's Bush saying it. Is there a way to make that clearer.

Finally, about Britney - I think it's ok to have her there and even to have the text as it is - as you said, McCain brought her into the discussion. But having the bald head bouncing around with the cuckoo noises was gratuitous. My emotional response to that was to have less sympathy for the argument of the surrounding material. So for that reason, I think that bit could be removed (assuming it's still a work in progress).

All in all, tells a good story.

5. By McCain comparing Obama to Britney

He is basically implying that Obama is unstable, like Britney Spears.

That is reprehensible.

Everybody knows Britney lost it and shaved her head. Bouncing her head around is no stretch and just emphasizes how ridiculous the comparison really is.

If anything, John McCain is nuts - he's been broken as a POW and gave up his country, and is continually contradicting himself. Day to day, I have no idea which John McCain we're going to see on any given day.

Wish I had those mad flash skills. I would suggest breaking it up into smaller animations regarding some of the separate issues you cover: negative campaigning, special interests, and the environment. Otherwise, very cool.

new stuff to deal with embedding FLV files, hadn't tried that one before.. but with Quicktime it's fairly easy.. QT outputs TO FLVs, a great little discovery..

Now if only I could transpose a swf file into something I can upload to YouTube, haven't found anything Free yet, all the freebie stuff is now mostly a scam..

I have a converter that does YouTube conversions, but it's for PC. It's on the studio machine, and i forget what it's called...

They may have a Mac version (you're on Mac, right?). I'll PM you later and let you know what it is.

27. I found a freebie that will convert YouTube TO mp4's

But nothing that will convert SWF's TO anything I can use TO Convert.. can't use QuickTime as it won't show MOVIE Clips exported from Flash..

Maybe conversion TO an AVI, ain't quite figured that one out either.. be fun to convert all our old stuff and push them as CLASSICS from the guys that virtually Invented Flash political Attack Ads online

Though it was gone forever, but no - just tucked away in an out-of-the-way directory on my drive on the studio machine....

Might put them up on B3 again if I ever have any free time.

CS3 = Flash Creative Suite 3 (or Flash 9). I had to buy it when I got a new laptop with Vista on it.

just getting into Flash 8 now, haven't had time.. thought that would be cool since you could create content for cell phones.. but they have to be the right KIND of cell phones, nothing for an IPhone..

Good find, glad the ? stuff's still around, have to do a best of when things get better..

I should send you a copy of my song "TODAY" (written because McCartney wrote "Yesterday" and someone had to cover the rest of the 8 Days a Week :) ) and see if you want to slap a cool lead on there.. tho there's not really a real lead break in it, a cool hook that may suffice..

Been working on some tunes myself, got a manager guy gave me a card in NYC last time in an elevator, told me to send him some stuff, manages The White Stripes, or something like that, Black/White Stripes?

Think about getting a manager and selling something for a car commercial, you can get upwards of a quarter MILLION for the right stuff..
