SECURING AMERICA'S FUTURE: It's General Wesley Clark, ladies and gentlemen.
The announced convention theme for Wednesday night, the night of the VP acceptance speech, is "Securing America's Future," which is also the slogan of Wesley Clark's WesPAC.

Wesley Kanne Clark, retired four-star General, US Army. Veteran of Vietnam and Kosovo, vocal opponent of the Iraq War from the start, and former Supreme Commander NATO Allied Forces, Europe. Winner of the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, two Army Distinguished Service Medals, four Legion of Merit medals, five Defense Distinguished Service Medals, and the Purple Heart, awarded for being struck by four bullets from an AK-47 during an ambush on patrol in Vietnam. Despite being wounded, then-Captain Clark shouted orders to his troops organizing the counter-attack, repelling the ambush and defeating the Viet Cong force. This event also earned him the Silver Star.

People kept talking about Wednesday being Securing America's Future night and I was sitting here thinking why Wes Clark would be speaking on this Wednesday night and where.

LOL.

6. I don't know what's up with the MSM, the more decorated the hero, the more they want to swiftboat?
Both Kerry and Clark are highly decorated war heroes whom, if we judge by the media's standards, should have been immune to the sort of fucking wringer the MSM put them through. Instead they let those with fishy military records and those who opportunistically use their records as a cure-all shield for any legitimate questions go unmolested by the grilling such actions deserve.

17. AMEN

Having General Clark on the ticket is a WIN/WIN...for the party and the nation. I can't conceive of a better choice to be honest.

Clark brings the foreign policy cred that few have. We can tag team the problems at home and abroad. Clark on the ticket as VP would be awesome and would solidify my support for Obama.
