... in terms of fitness, he does look rather bloated. Around the middle (must be a struggle to zip up his jeans when he's playing "cowpoke", since you can see his tummy sagging) -- and also in the face.

Given that his people are using the "fitness" thing to imply he's super-disciplined and has great will-power -- I can't help but wonder whether this is part of the overall neo-con strategy of implictly blaming people with health problems for being in that situation. (They reason that if you're an alcoholic, unless your faith is weak, you should be able to just quit, like Dubya! If you're overweight, you can just make the time to exercise, like Dubya! Naturally, the fact that he's rich and powerful enough to have the leisure time to spend on himself, unlike a lot of people who are working longer and longer hours, is omitted.) Like you said, demdem -- being out of shape is one thing, but Dubya's ilk have politicized it. They use physical fitness as a way to look down on other people (e.g. that notorious "pie wagon" comment meant to denigrate feminists).

I would like to see an independent medical evaluation of him, done when he hasn't had time to prepare for it. I bet that his BP, cholesterol, body fat $, and muscle tone are a lot more "ordinary".
