A Veep Convention Hint
from TIME.com: Swampland by Jay Newton-Small

Is there a hint at Obama’s veep pick in the convention line up? This morning convention co-chair Kathleen Sebelius outlined to reporters on a conference call the themes of each night at the convention.

Monday, August 25 -- One Nation

Monday’s headline prime-time speaker will be Michelle Obama.

Tuesday, August 26 – Renewing America’s Promise

Senator Hillary Clinton will be the headline prime-time speaker on Tuesday night.

Wednesday, August 27 -- Securing America’s Future

The Vice Presidential Acceptance Speech

The headline prime-time speaker on Wednesday will be Barack Obama’s Vice Presidential Nominee.

Thursday, August 28 – Change You Can Believe In

Barack Obama’s Acceptance Speech

4. That was my first thought.
But I'm still not ruling out the possibility of his choosing Clinton.

3. I guess Kaine is out. His campaign slogan was "Pissing away America's Future"
Edited on Mon Aug-11-08 10:30 AM by Kurt_and_Hunter
(Sarcasm)

Jay Newton-Small may need a hobby. Any VP would be compatible with "Securing America's Future" as a theme.

On Edit: Joking aside, I guess it is some level of boost in the Clark veepstakes, combined with Bill C speaking before the VP.

8. Agreed.
I predict it's Kaine and, in spite of that, the Obama-Kaine Administration will totally hold their own in terms of "securing America's future." :hi:

12. Nice Catch!
And I'd love it if it were Clark just as much as my post below where I opine it may be Dean.

13. Wow I never knew about that... seems like it is Clark
I mean his PAC is word for word "Securing America's Future."

I think Clark is someone that all sides can agree on as VP.

10. I Have A Different Feeling ...
If he's looking for someone who will disagree with him, who will fight the GOP, who is an outsider, who still has shown an ability to mobilize millions of voters outside the party yet is expanding the party, I think there's one choice:

Howard Dean!

Hey, it's as crazy as everything else, why not?!
