Cause John McCain also committed adultery on his first wife with a woman 24 years his junior.

8. Absolutely this should hurt McCain
Quite simply because the media will start talking about all the politicians who have cheated (Clinton, Hart, etc.) then they have to look at the two guys running for Prez. Obama, cheater? no McCain cheater? yes

Puts infidelity out there as a character issue and McCain's past finally comes up.

Hardball last night ...

3/4 of the show was about John Edwards ... John McCain's name came up ONCE ... BO's came up a couple dozen - and to a man they all said OBAMA WAS GOING TO HAVE TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ...

Sorry ... Obama is a D, Obama is an incredibly viral (sp) man ... The media will play this as hard as it can to guilt BO by associatino to Edwards, while ignoring McCain's past ...

There is only one candidate in this race with a HISTORY of being a philander ... But, I don't know what MSM people in this string are watching that leads them to believe that in any way that candidate is going to be called out for it, while the other candidate has no indicatins other than being an extraordinariliy loving husband and father, who WILl get stained with it somehow ...

The Republicans on the panel didn't want to touch it..... and then Mark Green reminded people that Obama wasn't the presidential candidate who cheated on a sick wife.

The Republicans (forgot their name) went out of their way to say it was personal and people make mistakes, blah bah.....

Facts are facts.

Then again- The Daily Mail is pretty good for the emotional impact- and they have the added benefit of being right there with the Elizabeth Hasselbeck mindset.

33. Personal Issues?
These are MORAL Issues. I haven't cheated on MY wife, and I don't want someone running the country who DOES, because anyone who will Cheat will also LIE, and STEAL.. My mom told me that years ago, and it's damn good advice.

Doubly worse for someone who Demands those Standards tom everyone Else, like scumbag Republicans, like John McCain who Lies all the time, cheats his countrymen so he can Steal our hard earned money to give to Corporations..

A Soap Opera? Nope, a Standard which those that Fail will adhere to, or pack their fucking Bags..

Like this "have a beer with" bullshit, what's next, "go have a whore with"?

Of course with McCain and his rich wife it's now, "someone you can go have a Beer Company with"...

I disagree. The majority of Americans are hip to the line of BS that's been served to them for the past 8 years. They're not better off than we were 8 years ago or even four years ago. Times are tough and when times are tough, people get real. The personal problems of a man that isn't running for office won't make a whit of difference to the people that are voting to kick the bums out.

45. absolutely damn straight
it's all I can think about it is just so awful

does he have no character at all?

snip from the article above:

Ted Sampley, who fought with US Special Forces in Vietnam and is now a leading campaigner for veterans rights, said: I have been following John McCains career for nearly 20 years. I know him personally. There is something wrong with this guy and let me tell you what it is deceit.

When he came home and saw that Carol was not the beauty he left behind, he started running around on her almost right away. Everybody around him knew it.

Eventually he met Cindy and she was young and beautiful and very wealthy. At that point McCain just dumped Carol for something he thought was better.

This is a guy who makes such a big deal about his character. He has no character. He is a fake. If there was any character in that first marriage, it all belonged to Carol.

The affair that John Edwards had is between him and his wife. It is nobody else's business. And likewise, any affairs that McCain had are not our business either.

With so many important issues facing us why are we stuck on the irrelevant subject of adultery?

Knowing how the MSM operates, they'll keep playing endless stories about Edwards's affair but say precisely nothing about McCain. On the off-chance some unscreened caller or something brings it up, they'll insist that was different or that it's ancient history and go straight back to Edwards. The MSM have learned that you can get away with quite stunning hypocracy if you're brazen enough about it.
