Obama to make public appearance at Keehi Lagoon Beach park tomorrow

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois and his wife, Michelle, will appear tomorrow afternoon at a public event at Ke'ehi Lagoon Beach Park to mark his return to the Islands.

Gates will open for the free event at 12:30 p.m.

The Hawai'i-born Democrat will spend about a week in the Islands for a vacation. His only other scheduled event is a private fundraiser on Tuesday night at the Kahala Resort.

...at the $2300 plate $10000 VIP cashathon at the Kahala Resort Tuesday with Mufi, my brother works across the street. I hate to say it, but the advance staff should have planned better and rented out a larger space with tons of seating and lots of notice so people can plan ahead. Hawaii is kinda getting the short end of the stick...only Alaska and Hawaii have yet to have Obama appearances. The time and place only came out yesterday ferchrisakes!
