SWIFT VETS ADMIT : Not about medals...just a grudge!
From Drudge:

KERRY: "Why are all these swift boat guys opposed to me?"

BRANT: "You should know what you said when you came back, the impact it had on the young sailors and how it was disrespectful of our guys that were killed over there."

There you have it...all the medal stuff is just bluster to cover for this grudge against Kerry...

2. No. This is Drudge propagating the next SBV talking point.
Now that their accounts of Kerry's heroism have been obliterated, they've started to go after "Kerry, the anti-war activist" over the past couple of days.

The Swiftboat Liars are changing the subject, and everyone is breathlessly following right behind them. Drudge is helping that process.

3. can't handle war, doesn't have the stomach for it
4. America would lose the war against terror
5. Kerry would turn a rifle on his own people
6. Kerry already plans to nuke NJ
7. Kerry-satellits ring the world with sleeping gas, and while we're all asleep, his alien overlords will sneak in and draw funny mustaches on us.

4. That's OK, I have a grudge too
Edited on Tue Aug-24-04 10:58 AM by joefree1
I have a grudge against those who demand we not question a rush to war. I have a grudge against those who demand blind patriotism even though it goes against everything our founding fathers stood for.

5. They Need to Grow Up
Somebody was saying on C-SPAN that the Civil War breaches didn't even start to be set aside until the ENTIRE generation had passed and that Vietnam is the same.

7. Someone said something on C-SPAN this AM about this division...
of Viet Nam veterans. Half thought the war was a mistake, including John Kerry and myself in this group, and half thought it was an honorable war, including John O'Neill and his "friends' in that group. These are the same people that looked at Jane Fonda as a traitor, and by connection, defined John Kerry in the same manner. It's been festering since Woodstock.

8. This reminds me of the Repug reaction to the prison torture
They feel Kerry was wrong to testify before Congress. They don't condemn the atrocities, they condemn the publication of those atrocities. They also felt that no-one SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKING PICTURES of the torture and humiliation at Abu Gahrib. The torture itself was OK, giving those pictures to the press was the treasonous act.

How do these guys figure they have a corner on the morality market???

10. Was Swift Boat Vets fiasco a trap?
Did Kerry set up the Bush campaign?

Just a hypothesis, but, according to recent TV news reports, the Swifty guys especially O'Neill have been doing this smear on Kerry ever since he entered politics. In fact, their tune has been the same one for 30 years.

Now just what if Kerry knew that if he emphasized his military record, the Bush campaign would give the nod to these Swifty guys and they would try to pull the same stunt. As this fiasco winds down, it's clear that our Swifty friends have lost their credibility, have been denounced nationally and now finally by Bush. Why? Because the Republican habit of attacking Vietnam War vets is a bigger problem for them than the crazy Swifty rumors about Kerry's military record is for Senator Kerry.

Is Kerry a master politican and Bush his lttle plaything?

11. Wait a minute, wasn't one of the anti-Dem talking points that
more Americans were killed in Vietnam under Johnson than Nixon?

Wasn't that one of their lies that they tried to push?

And Kerry spoke out in 71, not earlier, am I correct?
