2. Bulk buys.
Rightard organizations buy 'em by the box to get them placed on the best seller lists.

They'll be selling for 99 cents in the closeout bins before you know it.

5. I suspect they are mostly being bought like Annthrax Coulter's books.
Which is, in bulk, for resale or giveaways by right-wing organizations. They will be on the remainder table within a few months.

8. The writers probably bought in bulk and are giving them away.
Don't worry. Most Kool-aid drinkers don't read & the ones who do weren't gonna vote for OB anyway.

And consider the source for your post, by the way.

9. Heritage Foundation and other reich wing groups are buying them in bulk
to give out free copies at their meetings. Reich wingers think the label on a can of Budweiser is deep reading.

10. Someone had linked to a post that was
a PUMA thread about some book that "told the truth about Obama". One thing they all were doing was checking local bookstores and complaining if they were not being displayed at all or prominently enough. I'm not sure enough about the rest...they were talking about the donations they got from state PUMA groups because "we have to get this out there NOW!" but I couldn't tell if that was the book itself or how the book backed up the 527 ad they were making and the donations were for that.

I didn't keep reading. It sort of made me sick being there. They had great confidence they'd prevent him from being nominee

13. bought in bulk to get it on bestseller lists, then given away 'free with subscription'
or 'donation' to RW papers and hate radio shows. Old trick. You don't really think people bought Ann Coulter's books, do you?

15. As usual, Fox is lying...
The Amazon.com bestsellers list reflects only books being sold on Amazon.com and doesn't reflect books actually being sold elsewhere. That's why is you look at the NYTimes Bestseller list (which samples from nearly 3,000 different sources) and the list from Amazon.com, you'll notice almost no similarity. The reason why the media isn't making a big deal out of this? Because it's no big deal.
