SOOOO, when does the unified movement of Democrats start?
Just out of curiosity, when does this all together buisness get going? Harold Ford, time to climb on board just for starters

I think our canidate could stand to have a little all for one, and one for all for a few days to stamp down the republicon noise machine.

The talking heads and hell hounds of radio, are trying to play GOD and turn the election. A little letter writing to their sponsors on a massive scale would not hurt IMO

In the real world locally, it looks pretty dang good for Obama, but I come online, and well, lots of hiccuping as it were.

The election is just a couple of months away, time to start kicking butt DEMOCRATIC party. This is the time, and we are the ones
:kick: :kick: :kick: :kick: :kick:

14. I completely disagree
Clinton IS a democrat and as childish as some of the people here on DU have been during the primaries, there is a reason they hide and post and opine here while real people really run for real office in the real world.

What kind of childish world would we be living in if the former president of the united states didn't directly endorse the democratic candidate? Bitterness and selfishness, posturing, judgmentalism - that's what we do here.

6. He already has...
In 2004, Bill Clinton said this:

“One of Clinton’s laws of politics is, if one candidate is trying to scare you, and the other one is trying to make you think, if one candidate’s appealing to your fears, and the other one’s appealing to your hopes. You better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope.”

2. Democrats get behind the nominee as soon as we know who it is.
This year should be no different. If is it, blame will be placed where it belongs.

13. The unified movement on DU will begin
when posts like numbers 1 and 10 stop mining the primaries for drama. It will begin when everyone stops getting goaded into reaction by the patella tappers who want to keep us divided.

19. media
Here's a letter I wrote this am and cc'd media matters on. I am committed to writing three emails a day to media outlets regarding their inaccurate reporting. anyone who wants to copy this email can:-)

snip

Good morning,

It was rather distressing to watch your show the other day and come across so many factual inaccuracies. Are you committed to reporting the truth or the most accurate version thereof? If so, please make the following correction:

General Clark has never denigrated John McCain's military service, and neither has anyone who speaks for Senator Obama. As Max Cleland and John Kerry can tell you, only Republicans do that. When you replay Gen Clark's comments from start to finish and particularly with no misleading editing, it is clear that he showed the respect any honorable person who has served our nation would show for a vet.

Why isn't he getting the same consideration from you and CBS? Do you not honor the great service of Gen Clark? Is this an Un-American station that only serves one party instead of honoring the service, whatever party, of our great men and women?

It is appalling and outrageous the way you denigrate Gen Clark, a five star General who put his own life at risk to save the lives of his men, on numerous occasions. Gen Clark's strategic knowledge is highly regarded and as such, he is qualified to make observations regarding the service of Sen McCain in the Viet Nam war and how it pertains or does not pertain to leading this country. Gen Clark served this country for 30 years.

Face the Nation is an unpatriotic, partisan and now deliberately misleading and inaccurate show. Shame on you.

Since you have repeatedly shown yourselves to be committed to party over country, you might consider asking Sen McCain just how he "knows how to win wars" -- what is this claim based on? What wars has he won? Was he in charge of strategy during VietNam? If he knows how to win wars, and this one in particular, can he please pass that info on so we can stop losing our men and women in Iraq?

With Deep Regret that I can no longer watch your show,

20. As much as I don't like Brad Blakeman - he does his job for his Party
You just know that every time he opens his mouth it's to defend McCain. Frankly, I'd like to see more of that from our side. Like you said, Ford could climb on board more consistently.

In one of the reddest towns of one of the reddest districts, the Ohio Young Dems have set up shop in one of the most visable storefronts on the square. They'll be there through November.
