Republicans to Distribute New Tool to Convention-Goers
http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/landolakes/gG5z5W

This September, when Republicans show up in Minneapolis St. Paul, they will be given a special tool that resembles a tire gauge to help them determine how much hot air has filled up the room.

Worried about the degree of oxygen getting sucked out of the room by desperate politicians who have mismanaged our country for the past 8 years, the RNC offers these Hot-Air Gauges so loyal conservatives can decide when the best time to get out will be for their particular needs, to avoid a stampede when the boastful talk and empty rhetoric force people outside to clear their heads and breathe in some fresh air.

When reached for comment, an RNC spokesman had this to say, "A consensus was reached that this service became necessary, after increasingly desperate Republican politicians have had to reach further and further into hyperbole, half-truths and pseudo-science in an attempt to secure votes after their pathetic performances and ill-use of taxpayers money and confidence for the past couple election cycles. We are all about protecting innocent voters from their 'gasses' this year."

(not. this. time.)

1. They could put the Hot Air Gauges in a package with a Gas Mask and a Bullshit Meter.
Because anytime you have that many people in a confined area spewing shit, it's gonna stink. The meter will let everyone attending know what the levels are.

3. That's exactly where my mind went when I heard about this latest effort...
...to trivialize the issues important to the American people.

Hot air gauges.

NGU.

5. All I want to know is what has Mpls, ever done to deserve
this kind of invasion. :). Minnesota is such a beautiful state and here they come. The republicons, in their full gory uh... uh... I mean glory. Minnesota the land of Humphrey, Wellstone and Mondale. It breaks the heart, its not the people in the convention center who will need gas gauges, but those poor innocent Minnesotans.

7. Well my hubby is a Minnesotan, and to be honest with you
they would give you the shirt off their backs, if you asked for it. I can see it, the town fathers debating

"Well whatcha going to do now, they have no place to go, can't let a herd of em' just wonder around". Maybe we can let them use the church basement and the ladies axillary can feed 'em with the hotdish and jello".. Ya sure, I guess we can do that"

That must have been how it happened FLDEM5 :)

And all I can say to that is UFF DAH who woulda thought

9. There are aspects of Lake Woebegone
that are just so true. But I would not change any of them. The republicons are in for a surprise. People will be pleasant, but distant. Make sure they are fed, but double check to make sure they leave. From what I am hearing, a number of people are not so happy about it. But what can you do.. it will be three days and they will talk about it for the next 30 years. Especially if they (the convention goers) get a little rowdy. They are still talking about the Shrine parade from 1979.
