Obama calls for full votes for Michigan, Florida delegates
WASHINGTON - In a move to increase Democratic party unity, presidential candidate Barack Obama on Sunday called for convention delegates from the states of Florida and Michigan to have full voting rights at the party's national convention, something he had opposed until he locked up the nomination.

2. The man isn't entirely stupid you know. Besides, Hillary dropped out and
is campaigning for him.. trying to retire her debts.. How in the world would she be able to compete against McCain coming in with massive debts left over from the primary?

4. I still believe she had (has) a better chance at beating McCain, money or no money
Don't get me wrong, I'm voting Obama. But I don't know that this move will exactly endear her skeptical supporters to Obama. In fact, it will possibly anger them more.

8. Hillary would have seated them all, if the tables were turned...
If it had favored her opponent during the primaries, I'm sure she would have seated them because she's "different" and "special".

:sarcasm:

7. I figured this would happen just before the convention
once there would obviously be no huge protest.

9. Obama has changed his mind on an issue that he was clear
about during the primary????

I'm shocked.

10. And as everybody with an IQ point would tell you...
...there was never any doubt that the delegations would be seated as a gesture of conciliation--AFTER the race had been decided, to insure that the states didn't profit from their rule-breaking. Clinton would have done exactly the same thing if roles were reversed. After all, she reversed once on counting them in the first place.

11. So when the Democratic Party Rules said that these delegations
would not be seated, they meant that they would be seated later, when they woyuld make no difference at all.

Oh.
