I NEED ENCOURAGEMENT
Please give me some love and inspiration. Barack will lose where I live. Please tell me some good news...lift a brother up. I hate talking politics in my neck of the woods.

People I work with make me feel like a hippy drinking beers with a bunch of marines. The right wing stuff they spew is really gettin' on my nerves.

5. Be patient. He could take GA.
Seriously. If Barr gets attention, and all goes well for Obama. He could take GA.

Stay tuned.

13. I've been there....
Just remember that you are not alone. It took my a week for the last midterms to sink in because I had almost no one to share the enjoyment with at a verbal conversation level. Obama will win and the long eight year nightmare will come to a conclusion not too soon afterwards. Just remember that the despair comes from the length time you have been suffering, let it drive you to do all you can for your candidate.

16. Focus on how Obama handles the criticism - ignore and rise above it - your friends will give up
Edited on Mon Jul-28-08 08:02 PM by 1Hippiechick
"egging you on" if you just shrug and don't participate in the conversation. It's typical Repuke speak being regurgitated over and over ad nauseum.

Edited to add: limit your contact with these "friends" or co-workers. Get involved with your local dem party, do door-to-door canvassing and voter registration -

Become active in the campaign and you will make new friends with whom you will have something in common.

17. Seems to me that what you need

is some fellowship with liked minded individuals ... real people in your vicinity as opposed to just cyber friends (not that we can't help somewhat but you need to know you are not alone where you are).

I'd suggest volunteering with the campaign. It would get you out among other supporters and you wouldn't feel so much like a square peg in a round hole. In 2000 I was in southeastern KY, I do have a clue how you're feeling. Hang in there, you really aren't alone tho' I know it FEELS like you are.
