Ok, Maybe I'm slow. So if you already know about RSS feeds, move on.

If you're not on cable, and you can't get MSNBC (ATT UVERSE can't in many counties) I just found the RSS feeds right on the MSNBC website.

I can watch Keith free with very little advertisements. Much quicker than the real TV with ads and all on my schedule.

Here's the link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5216556/?page=3&#MSNBCTV

You don't have to know what an RSS feed is or anything. I used Windows Live as the viewer and didn't have to install anything. You have a few other choices like Yahoo, too. With Windows live you can choose a whole bunch and they play one after the other so you can set it and do something else. You don't have to sit at the puter if you dont want to.

yay! They don't have Anderson Cooper, which is too bad. now, when Tweety gets obnoxious, I can shut him up and move on.

1. THANKS! I still get it, but my close friends in Pgh. have comcast and
those jerks moved MSNBC from the Basic Plus teir to digital, and they don't have the $$ to subscribe to digital. They were sooo pissed that they'd be missing Keith! I told them I'd keep checking on where they could see it online.

2. The same thing happened here in Portland. @#$% Comcast.
We lived Keith-free for a few months, but then my husband broke down and got the subscription. The good thing is, I've gotten in better shape because they offer all sorts of exercise shows on "Fit TV" as part of the deal. :)

3. Guess it's logical that Windows Live would support MSNBC
About time Microsoft did something right.

4. Wow. Always wondered what RSS feed was but never looked into it.
Figured it was something beyond my limited tech abilities.
Thanks!! :hi:

5. I was poking around the MSNBC site looking for a way to catch Keith
and I saw those little icons at the bottom of their screen, without explanation. So, I went clicking around and found it by accident.

You'd think MSNBC would draw a little attention to it, since Cable is holding the rights to the channel hostage.

I found alot of articles explaining that wherever Cable is the incumbent (I guess that means first in line)provider, they get exclusivve rights to all MSNBC programming, due to a contract between the channel and cable.

All the phone/internet/tv providers are playing these games with each other. Turf wars. Who knows when the contract expires or if it will be renewed.

But in the meantime, I get to thumb my nose at cablevision and still get my keith, and occasionally tweety, when I want to get irritated.
