Will Alan Keyes hit critical mass and implode?
Right now, Barack Obama leads Keyes by 41 points in the polls. Thats' 65 to 24.

That's six points lower than Ryan had AFTER the pervert scandal, just before he dropped out.

My question is, when the magic numbers of 66% Obama 22% Keyes finally hits (and you know it will) will the result of being two points behind in the poll to every point in the poll Keyes has be total implosion into a mass with no volume ending in a blak hole out of which the Illinois GOP will never be able to climb?

1. Didn't Hawking determine that the mass isn't totally lost?
There's a little output, but it's unrecognizable.

Like Keyes!

2. Keyes has a problem....
...Democrats won't vote for him because he's an idiot and Republicans won't vote for him because he is black.

3. Let's hope not.
Are there any house races in Illinois that Keyes being a drag on the ticket could affect?

5. Doubtful.
For one thing, Illinois does not allow straight party voting.

Secondly, the repuke house members live in districts that are heavily repuke. Fortunately, the City of Chicago acts as an excellent counterweight to those areas, mostly small cities, small towns and rural areas.

9. Still, M'am
The Tribune poll stated that roughly a third od respondents said they were ;ess likely to vote for any Republican candidate, owing to the shabby issue of the Semate race, on top of other concerns. It strikes me as interesting that Crane feels the need to be advertising his candidacy widely now....

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

12. Crane is advertising VERY HEAVILY
A day doesn't go by where I don't see a Phil Crane ad.

And I live in Judy Biggert's district!

The Illinois house seats are definitely in play, mostly due to Keyes, and we coudl actually see Henry Hyde defeated!

13. I work with someone from Crane's district.
And he is a Democrat, although because of his particular role, must spend significant time talking with repukes. The consensus up there is that if Melissa Bean changed her party affiliate to repuke -- even running on the same issues and platform -- that Crane would be O-U-T in a primary.

Not that he advocates her changing parties.

11. There are some that are vulnurable
My rep crane is one. Damn, I'm thinking of starting a don't vote campaign, that is what keyes' seat on the ticket really is. Actually, I feel in my bones that there will be alot of surprises. Even my old HS wretling buddy, dittohead, said he wouldn't vote for keyes, he'd just sit it out. Many puke suburbanites were disgusted with the current resident and naming keyes put em over the top. They have very little of import as a reason to go to the polls.

Missy Bean got 44% 2 years ago and people are FED UP with the pukes. Inch by inch, but I seriously think that here in Illinois we could make a huge dent this year. The Dems should be pouring cash here! Hyde, hastert, crane, kirk, dammit, we could hamstring the goopers here.

4. I think Alan's sudden converstion to Illinoian
will come of as the most cynical ploy in American
politics since... no, come to think of it, it may be the new nadir in American political strategy.

I mean even Bush* had nepotism going for him.

6. I actually feel sorry for Illinois Repukes
Some of them anyway. Because, you know there are some good people in the repuke party in Illinois. How do you think they felt when their party leaders basically told them "there are NO good repukes to run in Illinois so we have to pull in a complete crackpot from Maryland." That's the ultimate slap in the face, and I suspect many repukes are voting for Obama (or not at all) in retaliation.

7. Someone needs to convince the GOP that this race needs

a massive infusion of CA$$$$$$H.

I can't imagine it'll help Keyes, but it's money they can't spend elsewhere.

Unfortunately, while I think they're stupid-- I don't think they're THAT stupid.

14. How's this for realism....Obama 58%, Keys 42%
which is a landslide by any definition. My prediction
is based on 36 years spent living in Illinois.

15. don't you wish
that the repugs would run Keyes for president again? I would love to see him get the nomination (in fact, I would vote for him in the primary if I could--I can see him getting lots of cross-over Democratic votes in the primary)!

Hee hee--it would be great to win the presidency and take EVERY state!!!
