4. My response is that Laura Bush may seem nice too, but Bush has been disaster

Laura Bush seems okay to most people (other than being the supreme enabler for the worst President in my 50+ lifetime) other than running the stop sign and killing her high school friend (and never even getting a citation) but she should never have been a reason to vote for Bush. During the 2004 campaign, when we discussed politics, all my female neighbor mentioned was how much more she liked Laura Bush than Teresa Kerry. Similarly this year I have heard remarks from people I always thought were reliable Dems praising Cindy as a justification for possibly voting for McCain.
