To strip immunity. This goes to show you, you can't trust a guy and love him to death based on ONE-issue. Yes, he doesn't agree with the war...but virtually no one does right now. Knowing his views on the Confederacy, etc...I'm glad he's out of the running for VP!!

1. Me too. And, I may not show up to vote for him in the next time he runs in
Virginia. He's made some questionable votes. This being one of them.

3. Ditto
I voted for him, and it doesn't look like I'll be doing it again!

The worst part for me is that I received replies from Tom Davis, a Republican, and not even a form e-mail from Webb.

I stopped being impressed with Webb then.

Now as a veteran, I'm glad of what he did with the new GI Bill and Veterans benefits, though I got out in 1991 so it doesn't do anything for me, but as some have said it's only one issue.

10. Yep. And to boot, I gave him over $700. No more.

2. Me too
Hopefully more Dems will make it a goal to vote these Blue Dogs and DLC Dems out at every opportunity. To do so we need to encourage progressive candidates to challenge these incumbents in the primaries, and then show up in droves to vote for the challenger.

5. So...does that excuse it?
It looks like Biden (who I would like as VP) voted WITH Obama. This is just more proof that Obama and Webb likely wouldn't have agreed on much. Webb is too close to being a Blue Dog.

9. Me too.... he's made progress since he voted for Bush in 2000
and was a life long republican. But he still has a lot of steps to take
before I put him on a pedestal. I'm still glad he's in the Senate vs what
we might of had but that doesn't make him a tried and true democrat like
Kerry, Boxer and Kennedy.

11. O RLY?
So I'm going to have to assume that all the people upset at Obama weren't the same ones who wanted Webb as VP.

12. Yeah, and he was awfully concerned about how the people of Appalachia were being
(rightfully?) portrayed during the primaries.
