McCain may feel pressured to name his VP in the next few weeks?

Simply because he is either frozen in the polls or is sinking. He needs someone to help him correct course. He may be pressured to name someone sooner than Obama. If he picks a woman, would Obama be more pressured to put Hillary on the ticket?

So long as Obama is ahead in the polls, there is no rush for him to name a VP candidate. He can wait as long as to the Convention, if he wishes, and get the side benefit of VP speculation in the press.

I wonder if McCain will be putting in a call to Mitt Romney sometime soon?
