Attacking Iran and the presidential race.
Edited on Mon Jun-30-08 05:37 AM by Kablooie
When Bush attacks Iran in the coming weeks and Iran strikes back, possibly with China and Russia as new Iranian allies, how do you think it will affect the election?

Will the Repubs be able to use it as a rallying cry for a renewed Republican defense based government?
It will put a new jolt of Jolt Cola into McCain's campaign.

How does Obama respond?
If he comes out against the attack, he will be attacked as anti American.
If he comes out for the attack, he will lose the respect of all of us who believe in him.
And what can he really do? Until he's president he has no power.

Our congress doesn't seem to be very concerned about it all.
Another war is just business as usual, I suppose.

It sounds like Bush and Cheney aren't anywhere near being done with destroying our country.
They have plenty of new tricks to use in the coming months.
Possibly enough to scuttle our whole future for good.

(And if we protest there is always martial law they can pull out of their asses to cancel the election with.)
