To Fellow Du'ers - please, quit looking at this election with logic, morals, justice and fairness...
When it comes down to it, this election is going to be a nasty, street brawl, especially by the right. People need to examine this election through viscera and not logic or reason. People need to quit relying on long, complex narratives based in endless detail, even when they are accurate. It is like the old saying of how "a lie runs halfway around the world before the truth gets it's shoes on."

Every time I see some well thought out and factual treatise on how this or that is right and why this or that should be, I think of how modern elections are ran and won. I think of the absolute dumbing down of the American mind and how news and information is now passed along.

I'm not saying I have the answers, just that this thing will be like a brawling boxing match where countless well hidden body blows will eventually become just as important as observed jabs to the face. Luckily for us, I think Obama is the much more supreme fighter.

It's like where I look at - one of the most commonly heard phrases is "because that makes sense" when people ask why the real solution is not used.

So people need to remember our opponent and his kind - they are like rabid caged dogs and will fight accordingly. They will act nice while that food is just out of range and then gladly eat the hand that feeds it, as well as it's young (McClellan). Victory is all these people care about.

2. I believe Corporate America might allow Obama to get elected because only a...
black Democrat will be able to screw over the remainder of the middle-class. Reagon/Bush started it, Clinton continued it, Bush II expanded it and Obama will finish it.

3. Well, at this point, victory is all I care about, too. But be prepared.
We can't say we haven't been well warned by the track record of these assholes:

For your consideration, with thanks.

4. Or, simply put, you cannot argue facts with a crazy person. The American public
(as a whole) is ignorant, uninformed, and apathetic to "issues." The only things that matter to most of us are those that we perceive as directly affecting us.

And that personal connection (it costs me sooo much to fill up my SUV) is exploited by the pukes in their politics, to great success. That is why most people actually vote against their own self-interest. They do not see NAFTA or drilling in the Arctic or FISA as impacting them. But the price at the pump does, so they voice and vote accordingly.

Too many Democrats like to hear (or read) their "reasoned explanations" and are deluded to think that the logical approach will actually succeed.

Fuck them.

I also agree that we need to get down in the sewer with the pukes. To fight with both hands tied behind our backs is just plain stupid.

6. The Dems need to do what it takes to win
and that may well mean fighting dirty.

If there's one thing every single cognizant person here should have learned over the past several elections, it's that the high road is the losers' road.
