When it comes down to it, this election is going to be a nasty, street brawl, especially by the right. People need to examine this election through viscera and not logic or reason. People need to quit relying on long, complex narratives based in endless detail, even when they are accurate. It is like the old saying of how "a lie runs halfway around the world before the truth gets it's shoes on."
Every time I see some well thought out and factual treatise on how this or that is right and why this or that should be, I think of how modern elections are ran and won. I think of the absolute dumbing down of the American mind and how news and information is now passed along.
I'm not saying I have the answers, just that this thing will be like a brawling boxing match where countless well hidden body blows will eventually become just as important as observed jabs to the face. Luckily for us, I think Obama is the much more supreme fighter.
It's like where I look at - one of the most commonly heard phrases is "because that makes sense" when people ask why the real solution is not used.
So people need to remember our opponent and his kind - they are like rabid caged dogs and will fight accordingly. They will act nice while that food is just out of range and then gladly eat the hand that feeds it, as well as it's young (McClellan). Victory is all these people care about.
