The most important thing I learned from this election cycle, thus far.
There are some people who I know that I had a modicum of respect of the intellectual capacity are actually dumber than a box of dirt.

Such as one family member explaining to me that they tried to talk about Obama to another family member only to be told that they won't vote for "that Muslim" and even when they acknowledge the fact that he has been going to a Christian church all his adult life, they cannot let go of the Muslim thing.

You just gotta wonder what the hell are they expecting? Obama to get sworn in and suddenly declare himself Ayatollah Obama and laugh maniacally?

What the fucking fuck is wrong with some people and how the hell do you counter such willful idiocy?

1. "willful idiocy" - perfect! LOL
I think it's always about fear ~ so how to make someone less fearful?

2. There's one born every minute, it's really sad when this happens to someone
you previously thought was a very intelligent Democrat. Believing the MSM message of the day and then ranting as though it's true. I don't think this country will be able to truly heal until the media starts reporting the real news as it should.

3. Well, honestly, in this case I thought he was a reasonably intelligent republican.
But I guess I was wrong.

4. I guess we have to just tell them to do their research (going straight to the source,
don't read opinion pieces) and remember that the fate of our military, our children, this country depends on them learning the truth and not believing every rumor that shows up in their e-mail.

5. I've Heard It Referred To As "Shopping Fof An Excuse"...
Some people are never going to "say" why they'll really never vote for him.
