I am referencing Photoshop -- it's not a verb. It's a brand name.

You do not "Photoshop" and image. You "digitally retouch" or "digitally enhance" or "digitally manipulate" an image. That is the correct terminology.

language is alive. photoshop is more widely distributed than hammers. the use of a tool is easily translated from a noun to a verb. pound, flatten, mash, crush, smash could all refer to what you do with a hammer, that does not make hammered an incorrect usage.

by air brush or by hand painting or with in-camera effects (like multiple exposure) -- long before Scitex, Digital Darkroom, Photoshop, Fireworks or even pixels came along.
There are other ways to enhance an image besides using Photoshop. Fifteen years ago it was wrong to use "Scitex" as a verb (as many dim-witted Advertising Executives did) just as it is wrong to say "He Photoshopped it" today.

Rove has a background and a psyche that fascinates my morbid interest in the dark side of humanity...probably because I majored in Psychology my first year of college. He's soooo textbook 101. :D

I'm also somewhat fascinated by Rove's comment - it's like this monster/ruler of the universe suddenly becomes the teenage audio-visual geek envying the cool kids. Remember that cringe-inducing rap he did? Rove is a nerd! Which is OK, but he's also the toady/bully type, who attaches himself to power in order to get back at his enemies or the world in general. But apparently it hasn't helped his self-image a bit. Poor Rove. He should get some therapy & leave the country alone.
