Choosing Obama, Not Hillary, Is Causing Tremendous Loss . . .
Edited on Sat Jun-21-08 03:18 PM by Median Democrat
To the Republican 527 groups like Citizens United who had already heavily invested and completed a smear film, Hillary: The Movie:

http://www.citizensunited.org/

Now, they had to start from scratch on a brand new anti-Obama smear film, which is nearing completion.

Now, here's the question, who do you think will show it before the election first? Fox or ABC? I think ABC, because they attempted to broadcast "Stolen Honor" an anti-Kerry smear before the 2004 election, and broadcast "Path to 9/11" the Clinton-smear move before the 2006 election. Since Obama represents a greater chance to take the White House, and appoint commissioners to the FCC, I wonder how many Anti-Obama smears will the MSM broadcast on the even of the election.

Overall, I am glad that Obama opted out, because the fact of the matter is that Democrats will need to work twice as hard as the GOP given the efforts of the MSM to ensure control of the FCC.

3. Yep, ABC is just about as bad as Fox. Such a tool.
I remember that disclosed memo from ABC threatening potential Air America commercial sponsors.

I agree with you. Obama was smart to opt out of public financing. With all the funds he raises from' we the people,' he's gonna render that 527 garbage impotent.

5. Here is the background on that ABC Memo and Some Commentary...
Edited on Sat Jun-21-08 10:19 PM by Median Democrat
Here is the memo:

http://mediamatters.org/items/200610310008

And here is a discussion of that memo:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/josh-silver/air-americas-abc-blackli_b_33123.html

"This is the heart of the problem: Air America commits a crime called journalism. Almost none of the so-called conservative radio shows or networks do any semblance of actual reporting. They merely pontificate -- repeating talking points that seem to be emailed straight from Karl Rove's laptop.

Air America does its share of pontificating as well, and we leave it to others to compare its integrity to that of Limbaugh and Hannity. But we can say that Air America journalism occasionally focuses on corporate malfeasance. It examines closely the deeply corrupt relationship between corporate power and government officials."

"3) Note the presence of the U.S. Post Office and U.S. Navy on the list of advertisers who have blackballed Air America. It is an outrage that public monies are being deployed to push the ideological agenda of the Bush Administration, or any other administration for that matter. This is one more example of the corruption of governance in Washington, where big money and political power are picking over the bones of democracy. "

Finally, here is the NY Times article on Air America's bankrupcty:

4. They had a 3 mile headstart and they are still catching up; they had planned
for another result.

It's difficult, but I'm digging even deeper into my pockets for our nominee and will continue to do so.

6. To my mind they have gone so overboard with the smear they have lost a lot of credibility.
