Public Financing: People aren't going to care
The truth is that not one person is going to vote for John McCain because Barack Obama changed his mind about public financing. This is a two day news cycle at most. It is a non-starter. Does anyone actually believe that someone who has decided to or even is in the process of deciding, going to NOT vote for Obama because he backed off of his "promise" to take public financing? Right, that is a real burning issue at the moment with the American people.

What I think is true is that the corporate news media is full of shit.

1. The Political Hay Comes on the Other Side of the Fence
where McCain has been very busy breaking the laws, and then tap dancing all over, trying to cover up his "oops".

2. I already don't care. I can't imagine anyone really does. No one's even talking
about it. I don't know where the media gets off.

4. IT's the spinnoff that his word is shit.
That will affect some voters for sure.

And that's all it was; a fabricated spin.

5. Why should the public fund either? Both have plenty of money to win.
And none of the public funding initiatives have been shown to reduce the scandals in Washington.

11. they sound desperate, I agree, America will not care, they will care about gas costs,
health care, the war etc..things that matter, its more than obvious the news will continue in this vein in hope that the people will talk about inane subjects instead of the ones that will ensure they are angry and perhaps will begin to do something about this anger....

13. Polls show people don't care
you hit the nail on the head. The polls conducted on the issues show Americans couldn't care less if candidates use public or private funding.
