Said yesterday's events showed the Obama campaign - including Kerry, Clark, etc. - is not really ready for prime time. :wtf:

4. Then Joe will invite Kerry to sit at the desk and debate the accuracy of Kerry's remarks, right?
Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 07:07 AM by blm
Joe could school Kerry on the reality and politics of the entire region, right?

Joe should LEAP at that opportunity to defend McCain and Iraq war against a not ready for primetime knownothing like Kerry, eh?

32. I would love to see that debate - as long as both have
equal access to the mic. What Joe doesn't like is that the media is spinning that the surge is working and has not covered Iraq prominently. The fact is that McCain, not Kerry, has been wrong on statement after statement. Joe likely knows this. He also was annoying on his strange comments on "his girlfriend" - a head scratching phrase he himself uses to mean HRC.

Now, imagine any female commentator calling a male politician "her boyfriend" - I don't care if it was Bush, McCain, Obama, Edwards, Kerry, Gore or Bill Clinton - it would raise eyebrows and be seen as beyond unprofessional. That it is completely unlikely that he really likes her that much - it is sick.

3. Are WE going to let the corpmedia be complicit AGAIN? We need to pound back at them for blatant
whoring like this. Olbermann and Kerry were ACCURATE and Joe (R-Dead Intern) is using mockery to divert from the accuracy of their remarks.

5. I'm thinking of a clip of Joe . . .
Somewhere around last October, telling Obama to stay home, because Hillary had it all sewn up.

His "see into the future" glasses are a little cloudy . . .

21. She said that McCain is showing that he doesn't understand foreign policy matters...
Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 08:28 AM by jefferson_dem
That he didn't know the difference between sunni and shia, that he didn't know we were not back to pre-surge troop levels and, most importantly, that he doesn't understand how it does indeed matter when the troops come home - not just for the obvious personal benefit of the servicemen but also in light of the fact that our military is overstretched and the Iraq boondoggle has distracted us from the real "war on terror."

She was strong as fuck, did not back down on JoeScar's ham-handed badgering, and stuck to the campaign's criticms of McSame. Even JoeScar commented after that - say what you will, they certainly are "on message."

11. Talkingpointsmemo's Rosenberg: Letting Jim Johnson Go Shows Obama Has What It Takes
Letting Jim Johnson Go Shows Obama Has What It Takes

By M.J. Rosenberg - June 11, 2008, 4:05PM

Barack Obama plays for keeps.

He did not want the Jim Johnson flap to dominate the headlines so he accepted his resignation on the very day the first headlines appeared.

He understands just how much depends on his election and that he cannot let the campaign get bogged down on trivia. Jim Johnson, a good Democrat, also understands which is why he pulled the plug.

Obama just demonstrated that he knows how to play like Bill Clinton. Maybe he learned it by running against Hillary who learned it from Bill.

In any case, this is a new day for Democrats. This is a Democrat who acts swiftly and with resolution. Actually, it's not so new. It's very FDR.

Happy days are here again!

18. Sure.
Here are a couple links to bring it up to date.

Wes Clark: McCain Is "Untested & Untried" On National Security --http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x6345904

John Kerry on Countdown: McCain is Confused --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ch3P2b_vVpQ

This morning, JoeScar said Obama and surrogates attacks on McCain are unwarranted and reeks of petty politics and ageism. Basically...how dare they question a war hero on his military judgment.

22. They kept saying "not too important" was taken out of context
but I watched the clip several times and they were the first words McCain said after being asked the question.

The Obama campaign is not attacking McCain or smearing McCain. They are raising legitimate questions regarding his understanding of what the hell is going on over there. He touts his national security expertise, but I haven't seen anything written to explain just what that expertise is.

Really, what is it?? Being a POW doesn't make you an expert on foreign policy or national security.

Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 09:11 AM by NotThisTime
"Being a POW doesn't make you an expert on foreign policy or national security."

Ain't that the truth.... so where's this experience? The experience where he said he could walk down a Baghdad street and did so with body armor, with 100 soldiers around him and a helicopter above him???

The Quotes are from John McCain regarding Iraq, he was wrong on all counts

"I believe that the success will be fairly easy." (9/24/02)
"We’re not going to have a bloodletting of trading American bodies for Iraqi bodies." (9/29/02)
"We will win this conflict. We will win it easily." (1/22/03)
"here’s no doubt in my mind, once these people are gone, that we will be welcomed as liberators." (3/24/03)

They have good guests, but sometimes, it's just not enough. I can't take ANY of the hosts, they are all such dingbats.

The other day on MSNBC, they showed an old clip of a McCain rally, and McCain hugging people in the front row. One of them was Joe Scarborough. I was like "That's not...it is...ugh"
