Are they STILL talking about the "popular vote"?
Maybe it made sense to use that lie before she conceded, but it doesn't make sense now.

There is no popular vote. Caucus states are not counted.

OK?

And she lost it mathematically after Wisconsin.

OK?

There really is no need for this, former Clinton loyalists. We don't have to convince you anymore because she isn't running anymore. That's why she isn't pushing these things anymore, so why are you?

You have to let it go. I'm just saying.

2. Okay, so if you are not allowed to count the popular vote...
you won't support the party? Or Obama?

Fascinating logic. I'll be damned.

Then you just go ahead and count that non-existent vote if it makes you happy.

43. Honestly I think you have the right idea madfloridian
let the Hillary supporters count that vote. It in NO WAY makes him an illegitimate nominee because we aren't counting popular votes. It DOES however make the Hillary supporters feel as if their time was not wasted. I think it is a concession that makes sense. There are methods of counting it that show her ahead and methods that show him ahead. But I think the best thing to do is to ask "is it worth it?" to ask "if giving this concession means THAT much to them and in no way hurts Obama... why not... why continue to be dicks." I think you hit the nail on the head with your last line there. If only more people would realize that possibility.

The vocal fringe wing she speaks to are just static, and in a NATION of 350 Million those whackjobs are a drop on the bucket, Obama is exciting more Americans of all partisan ilk and is Uniting our country..

14. 50%?
Ummm, the last I checked MOST Hillary supporters are democrats first, and supporters of a specific candidate second. The last figure I heard was 17% said they would vote for McCain and 22% said they would stay home, which is 39% of 50%. Furthermore, as the election gets closer, many of these people will vote for the democrat because there is so much more at stake in this election than thier pride or feelings. Is it a concern? Hell yes, but will it change, you bet your life....

36. Are Clinton supporters STILL denying she LOST the popular vote??
Last week I asked a Clinton supporter about this and was curtly told to "go to Real Clear Politics and see for yourself."

So I did. This page to be precise:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_vote_count.html

What I saw was there was six different ways to calculate the popular vote. In three of these, Sen. Obama wins the popular vote, and in three of these Sen. Clinton wins the popular vote.

The first is the basic popular vote. The caucus states are not counted, neither is Michigan:

Popular Vote Total
Obama - 17,535,458 48.1%
Clinton - 17,493,836 48.0%
Winner - Obama +41,622 +0.1%

The second is basic popular vote, plus estimates for caucus states:

Estimate w/IA, NV, ME, WA
Obama - 17,869,542 48.2
Clinton - 17,717,698 47.8%
Winner - Obama +151,844 +0.4%

The third is basic popular vote, no caucus, Sen. Clinton is given her Michigan votes, uncommitted votes are not given to Sen. Obama:

Popular Vote (w/MI)
Obama - 17,535,458 47.4%
17,822,145 48.1%
Winner - Clinton +286,687 +0.8%

The fourth is the same as the third, but with the addition of the caucus estimates:

Estimate w/IA, NV, ME, WA
Obama - 17,869,542 47.4%
Clinton - 18,046,007 47.9%
- Clinton +176,465 +0.5%

The fifth is popular vote, no caucus, Sen. Clinton is given her Michigan votes, uncommitted votes are given to Sen. Obama:

Popular Vote (w/MI)
Obama - 17,773,626 48.0%
Clinton - 17,822,145 48.1%
Winner - Clinton +48,519 +0.1%

The sixth is the same as the fifth, but with the addition of the caucus estimates:

Estimate w/IA, NV, ME, WA
Obama - 18,107,710 48.1%
Clinton - 18,046,007 47.9%
Winner - Obama +61,703 +0.2%

It's interesting to note that in all three of the Clinton wins, the win is based on denying Obama the popular vote. This is done by denying the uncommitted Michigan votes to Obama, and/or the caucus votes. Two of Obama's wins are based on ignoring the results of the invalid election in Michigan, but the third win is by counting all the votes. This is ironic, based on Sen. Clinton's campaign cry of "count all the votes", since that method results in a win for Sen. Obama.

41. What popular vote?
This guy has some helpful info for delusional morons. Newsflash: Our nomination process is not a tally of votes. There are caucuses. Read this carefully, it's pretty simple:

http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/03/popular-vote-question.php

I'm still waiting for Hillary to explain this to everyone also-to help restore the credibility of our candidate in the eyes of those who swallowed her lies.
