Some of the people it would have been nice to have seen on the MSM to put Obama's nomination into context and to help viewers better understand the historical impact of this campaign.

Instead, we got Pat Buchanan, Wolf Blitzer, Campbell Brown, George Will, the occasional black editorial writer and a handful of black campaign strategists here and there to give us their views of this moment in history.

What a wasted opportunity.

Oh, well . . . Why am I surprised?

3. I hope you're not surprised because when
I saw the lineup last night on DU for gasbag Sunday I already knew what was going to happen.

We had Bob Casey and John Kerry who are real Dems..that's it.

I think if we email and let the m$$$m know enough times that we want historical context for an Obama nom win that it would help.

When Obama beats mccain which the m$$$m will try their damnest not to let happen..We'll get some us historical context before they turn on him again and do their brainwashing. See, I know their MO after observing this propaganda machine for 8 years.

4. I agree 1000 %
First may I say that I am African American.

I tend to be extremely open minded in terms of color.

But my pet peeve is the lack of color or youth in the so called "pundits" front and center ALL day and ALL night. Do they ever sleep? :puke:

Morning Joe is back to slime one and all ~ he needs to take some more time off to explore the intern incident.

Is his father President of MSNBC? Why him, he is a C - in my opinion.
If we must have "pundits" give me Keith, give us quality like Edward R. Morrow.

America doesn't deserve these pieces of trash to define our candidates and to control the few people of other hues and views that can only open their mouths is Tweety tells them to ~ :puke:

Who is Pat Buchanan to tell us in the 21st Century what has worked in the 19th Century ~ they are forcing America to believe that what worked then is what must work forever.

5. I swear that Pat Buchanan must have a cot in the MSNBC studio
This man never goes home - he's on 24/7. And they put him on to talk about EVERYTHING - the war, politics, race, the economy . . . yet they seem to think that black pundits are qualified ONLY to talk about race - and even then, they have no problem having discussions about race that don't include a single person of color.

There's little more sickening than turning on Morning Joe and watching groups of white people (mostly white men) sitting around day after day talking about race. Every now and then, they stick Harold Ford or or Bob Herbert or Jonathan Capehart on, but their appearances are few and far between. For the most part, these are all-white discussions about race, conducted by people who are about as ignorant about and hostile toward the issue as anyone can be.

I'm not a Chris Matthews fan, but I have to give him some credit - he does seem to try to at least have some racial and gender diversity on his show. But he and Keith Olbermann are exceptions.

It's pretty disgusting.

8. You absolutely nailed it ~
Isn't there anything that we can do about it?

I know some people say they don't look.
Well if we don't look that is sticking our head in the sand and that is exactly what they want us to do.
The MSM really doesn't seem to care if we look or not.
If they did they would have more balance in their presenters.

Most polls indicate that Democrats are getting more new votes and more voters period, correct.
Then why is it that they don't care what they show us.

Other than Keith, who?

I mean who is PRIME TIME -- Rachel deserves her own show!!!!
Roland Martin deserves his own show!!!
Or call it the Rachel and Roland Show --- just please get MJoe off of my screen.

Question ~ That was the longest "pregnancy leave in history for a husband. I want to know the real story. Remember the big blow up with Rachel? After that,no Joe for weeks.

Then Bingo! There he is pops again ----but more reserved than usual IMO.

I think he got suspended.

6. I second that emotion. Pat and Joe are also Republicans and do not
have our best interests at heart.

:hi:

9. I was watching CNN
and they actually had on a quasi interesting panel that was putting it into historical perspective.

I wouldn't waste your time with MSNBC, it's tabloid journalism at it's absolute worst, hosted by people who shouldn't be on television. WIth the occasional exception like Rachel Maddow.
