I woke up one day in 1972 to the news that there had been a break-in at Democratic Headquarters.
I knew that Nixon was behind it, that was obvious. I was also foolish enough to believe that McGovern had it in that bag at that point. How could anyone vote for a man who would pull a stunt like that?

The moral of the story is; rest up this week-end, and be ready Monday to fight all the way to Election Day for Obama.

1. But Watergate hardly got factored into people's voting patterns at all . . .
I think most of the polls (IIRC, it's been a long time), had McGovern up at that point.

It's who counts the votes.

to have a voters mandate......Numbers so large it will put the rethugs in shock for the first two years....Our President and congress will have so much to do and we could accomplish so much more without rethug interfearence...I am in now way refering to a dictatorship here....I want my Constitution back more than anything..
