Sen. Jim Webb will Campaign and Formally Endorse Obama Today in Virginia!
There were questions as to whether Webb would campaign with Obama while he was in Virginia. Looks like he will!

"Tonight, Kaine will speak and Sen. Jim Webb will introduce Obama at a rally at the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, the release says."

2. Interesting ... is Webb on Obama's VP short-list?
I'd say he stands a very, VERY good chance of being Obama's VP, and this campaigning together may well be to test those waters. Edwards is my preferred, though I don't think he wants the position; Richardson and Sebelius are also favorites, but my hunch is we're about to see the winning-team pre-run!

8. Mark Warner (D) running for Senate seat now held by John Warner (R) in VA....
....We'll be sorry to see Jim Webb leave us if he's VP since he defeated incumbent George 'macaca' Allen in the 2006 election but he seems to be on the very short list..

Mark Warner was a very popular Governer here in VA....as is Tim Kaine currently.

4. I wish I could make it but traffic would be horrible!
I wish there was a metro stop near there. I would go in that case.

To all of those who can, have fun!!!!

5. This is probably part of the VP vetting process, giving Webb a tryout
I'm sure Obama wants a personal feel for each of the possible VP candidates. He wants to know how their chemistry is on stage together, how well the VP guy complements him.
