why edwards and richardson should not be a vp choice
Edwards already tried out for the job and RIchardson did nothing for Obama once he endorsed him, he may have even hurt in some areas because of the loyalty that many (not all) Hispanics feel toward the Clintons. as a footnote I do not want Clinton as Os vp, so that is not my agenda

1. I think you are right about Edwards
but not quite right about Richardson.
Like he said of himself, I look like an indian was raised in a Hispanic culture and have an anglo name.
And the hispanics will vote for him...but I don't know whether that is important or not in terms of getting a win.
Ultimately I think they will chose based on what regions of the country they need to win.

13. Won't that cost us a Senate seat?
Anything that costs us a Senate seat would be a negative IMO. And really, two senators on a ticket is probably a no-go also. We need a governor or Gen. Clark

4. I rather doubt we know what Richardson has done for Obama.
I never expected to see him deliver a huge polling bump or suchlike. It might be that his main contributions are away from the cameras.

5. I like both of these men but believe Edwards would work out better.

There's a snapshot of Obama/Edwards floating around somewhere and it was dynamite. :)

8. Actually the fact is
He was there more than the others, but not as much as the media liked to say he was there! Edwards would be a great president, or VP, but he would do this country more good as the AG, and I hope that's where he lands. Obama needs someone who can help in the goal for "real" change. We will see when they are vetted who that might be.

16. I heard Obama say he may follow Lincoln's lead
and do a "Team of Rivals" -- which would be at least some of the dems in the primary. Should be interesting to watch. I haven't been disappointed yet in his political acumen.

19. It won't be Edwards.
It never was going to be Edwards. There's a very good chance Edwards will be AG.

I wonder sometimes if people on this board have EVER followed politics before. :banghead:
