Dowd is Republican strategist debating Democrat spokesman Ted Devine....who barely got to say anything.

Chris verbally abused him and he deserved it.

23. Isn't it Tad Devine?
I happen to know that because I once hired his brother. His brother Ron (Actually Harold, but he preferred Ron) applied to be the Superintendent of School of the town where I was chair of the school committee. Gave him a 6 year contract.

I know his brother, Tad worked hard for Gore's campaign. Missed the show tonight, but I believe it's Tad that was on tonight.

13. Matt Dowd is a
Repuke/Bush'Cheney strategist...

Matthews railed on him because they posted an interview between Matthews and Kerry on their repuke website that suggests Kerry promoted himself as an anti-war campaigner in the primaries. Except that they cut Kerry's answer to Matthews question mid-word and mid-sentence to make it LOOK like Kerry said, Yup...When in fact Kerry said that he was against the way the President waged the war in Iraq...

12. I Thought Tweety Or Matthews Was Fair....
Kerry and Clark always had a nuanced position on Iraq... Even Dean had a nuanced position....

Only DK and AS had an unambiguous anti war position...

That was a great smackdown. I loved that he showed the clip numerous times over, and compared it with the RNC edit-job.

That and his recent smackdown of John O'Neill show good signs! :)

43. Tweety is good, but doesn't do enough homework...
He could have handed Dowd his ass (even moreso than he did) if he threw back *'s use of the word "sensitive" the very next day at the very same conference regarding the war on terror. So by Cheney's logic, Bush should be painted as a sissy on terror with the same brush they've used on Kerry about Iraq.

All in all, Tweety was in good form tonight. Starting to redeem himself
