First, I have enormous respect for Senator Clinton, her tenacity, her strong spirit, and many of her political ideals. :patriot:
But I think part of the reason she lost has to do with the way she strategizes. When she voted to authorize the war, she was using the threat of force as a bargaining chip. And last night, again, she used her nearly 18 million supporters as a bargaining chip, with the implied threat that she wouldn't work to bring them to Obama unless he made some concessions.
It's a bullying tactic. And although bullying might work in the short term, it ultimately fails in the long term, both in personal and international relationships. Blowback happens.
This is an important philosophical difference between Clinton and Obama. And it's one of the few similarities between Clinton and Bush.
I'm proud of our party for nominating someone who doesn't believe might makes right. It's going to be a welcome change in the White House.
