This is sad.
There are many Obama supporters who keep saying how HRC supporters need to vote for Obama in the general, for many good reasons. I of course agree.

But then I see that these same Obama supporters will not even vote for Obama if HRC is the VP candidate. The VP candidate! They aren't just saying they will not vote for HRC over McCain for president, they are saying they won't even vote for their own candidate if he picks HRC to be the VP.

If you won't vote for Obama because he picks HRC to be his VP, you are not a true Democrat.

12. I'm for real....
according to several posters, Obama has not won, it's "not over", so yeah, bullshit tends to make you cranky. However, if you would like to wade into some of the "you go girl" or "This isn't over" threads and enlighten your fellow hillary fans, feel free to do so...

4. Oh I'll vote for Obama/Clinton
I just think its not a very good move... for a lot of reasons.

I hope he doesn't do it. I think it will hurt him more in November than help him.

5. Truth be told,
I will vote for him no matter what. I will vote for Mr. Noriega as the Democratic candidate for US Senate. I will vote for whatever underfunded Democrat is named to compete against that ASSHOLE Pete Sessions (R-TX32.)

If Obama selects Senator Clinton for VP or a major role in his campaign, however, I will be enthusiastic about his nomination.

7. Ignoring the emotion of the night, when you have a candidate who has acheived the required
number of delegates to "clinch" the nomination, against all odds, and the opponent, minimize that victory, and instead grab the spotlight, almost ignoring the events of the night, distorting the actual number of popular votes, and impling that the fight will go on, wouldn't you expect that to generate some resentment?

11. ZLT, it's about principles...
I for one am not a registered Democrat. I am an Independent although I am not likely to vote for the Republicans anytime soon unless they seriously get their act together on foreign policy (highly unlikely) and economics (also highly unlikely). At any rate, Obama has campaigned as being different from Clinton in terms of his way of doing business. He supposedly wants to "change" Washington by getting rid of "the same old cast of characters." It would be hypocritical of him to attack Clinton on this throughout the campaign and then take her as his VP for political expediency. It would be breaking his promise to the people to get away from the way Washington has worked in the past. It would make him look like an ass. I'd probably still vote for him, but mainly because McCain is a doofus that can't keep his shit straight on important issues like Iran and Al Quaeda.

and that's the way i voted.

so, yeah, it's sad, but it doesn't represent that many people, even here.

23. I think you're underestimating how many pub and independent crossovers Obama loses with HRC as VP
I can easily think of 6 that have donated the max to Obama already that would vote for Barr if Veruca is on the ticket. That shrew is that toxic.

19. I agree, but I sure as hell hope he does not pick Hillary
How he could pick any candidate that voted for the IWR and Kyle/Lieberman is beyond my understanding.

If he picks Hillary, he has my vote!

But Hillary does not equal change and Obama does.

...this will be my tenth Presidential election. But unfortunately, I don't like Hillary Clinton anymore. Obama knows best though.

24. I'm voting for Obama no matter who the VP is
I have issues with Hillary and the way her campaign has been conducted, but I honestly feel that I could get over all of that should she come together in the best interests of the country and unite with Obama, on the same ticket or not.

A lot of the flames and bad emotions will go away once she stops playing games with the people and sets the record straight on the election.
