This Is Supposed To Be Obama's Moment
But there's Hillary hogging the spotlight with mixed messages coming out of her campaign a la McAuliffe. Oink.

Will she? Won't she? Frankly Scarlet, I don't give a damn. It's going to happen for Obama with you or without you!

1. She's hogging the spotlight without even making any real news
The question put out there is essentially rather or not Hillary passed her 5th grade math class.

61. go to www.americablog.com and read down list to the stories about
her 'quitting', which she isn't. she isn't going to suspend her campaign either apparently. she is going to shiv him to the convention floor and we have to put up with it. she's going for blood and fuck the consequences. I don't have words for what I feel about this and her.

2. Imagine her negotiating with other countries this way.
Quelle horreur!

I heard an Iranian call one of the Sunday NovaM talk shows, and said that Hillary is mentally unstable - with her Iraq war vote and "obliterate" Iran comment.

She is certainly not showing wisdom and sanity.

The whole Obams' moment vs. Hillary's turn syndrome has been part of the problem this primary season. Like John Edwards said (and other's echoed) it's not about them, it's about the people.

13. Like Bill, always has to be the center of attention. This about HER!!
In Hillary's head, it's still all about her. She must be allowed to script the ending, even if she's lost. She is clearly sending mixed signals today. She wants to get the superdelegates who were prepared to put Obama over the top to hold off, so her concession, such as it is, will still have meaning. She doesn't want anyone to think she's conceding, though, so she puts out another story.

I believe she put out the story of conceding he has the delegates tonight to stop the planned announcement by 40 superdelegates that they were putting Obama over the top NOW. I believe the news conference was supposed to do that, but that Hillary made a deal with them to stop them for announcing, provided she put out the story that she would acknowlegde tonight he has the delegates to win the nomination. Then, an hour after they put the story out, they lay down a line of bullshit that seems to counter what she already said.

Hillary is going to be shady to very end. She can't help it. She doesn't have a soul or a conscience.

55. Until he clinches it, he's not the nominee
He probably WILL be, but until he clinches it, "it ain't over." I don't see what is so hard to understand about that! McLame clinched it on the Puke side fairly early; he got the required number of delegates and then some. Obama hasn't been able to do that. We keep hearing about this "flood of superdelegates" who were coming, any day now, for at least a month or more, and it still hasn't happened.

It looks like now he's finally about to limp across the finish line. Wow. That's some strong candidate you've got there.

35. well i could be wrong but between now and november 4, this is
the only think obama will win..... Sad but true, unless he brings hrc into the wray and those poll numbers where obama is even or losing to mccain will once he announces hrc will be his running mate will jump to 20 to 30 point lead where it should be right now even if obama did not name hrc....that is what is troubling. obama should be way ahead by 20 points plus over mccain but they are basically tied.....that is bad news....maybe next week obama will be 7 to 10 points ahead of mccain but that is too close.....

a funny thing is the dems will pick up about 50 seat plus in the House and maybe 9 to 12 in the senate but those same voters will chose McCain over obama in the presidential. WOW!

It takes much ambition to run for President both Obama and Clinton are well matched. As an early Edwards supporter I could accept either Clinton or Obama, and ended up favoring Obama. As this campaign progressed I have developed a loathing of Hillary Clinton.

She wants to magnanimously "give" it to him rather than allow for an appearance that he won.

IOW, she may want to maintain power by transforming the Jr. Senator's glory and "victory" into to a team win which he could not have happened without her help.

I would put nothing past her.
