Ah, fuck: Texas Clinton Chairman: "Clinton told him she will speak to the convention on Friday"
WHY????? She just can't get over losing TX can she?? What is she going to say "sorry I pissed on your historical turnout parade with my threat of lawsuits!!"
Keep in mind...Texas Democratic Chairman Boyd Richie and his wife, both superdelegates, recently endorsed Obama.

The biggest question of the convention is whether the presidential contest still will be going on by Friday.

Neither the Clinton nor Obama campaigns have told party officials whether they will speak at the convention or send surrogates. Texas Clinton Chairman Garry Mauro said Clinton told him she will speak to the convention on Friday.

Richie said he believes the race will be over. He said it would be great if Clinton and Obama could start the general election with a joint appearance at the Texas party convention.

"If this contest is over, this would be a tremendous opportunity to unify the party here in Texas, as well as begin to heal the national party," Richie said.

2. If she's out of the race by Friday, I'll pretend to be interested when she's speaking. Otherwise,
I'll be checking out the concession areas.

3. OMG..imagine if everyone went with you....or turned their back on her
I think the turning back option may have to do cuz I can see them locking the doors to keep people in the room to listen to her. Unless she does it via satellite, which would be a bummer cuz then she couldn't SEE everyone doing so.

5. Geez. It's also possible she could thank TX Dems and offer her support to Obama at this event. No?
Noting this snip from the article again:

Richie said he believes the race will be over. He said it would be great if Clinton and Obama could start the general election with a joint appearance at the Texas party convention.

"If this contest is over, this would be a tremendous opportunity to unify the party here in Texas, as well as begin to heal the national party," Richie said.

We may all do well to see what tomorrow and the next day entails.

6. Actually, more Texans voted for Hillary than Obama.
That's a win.

Do you watch a game and tell yourself your team scored fewer points, yet won?

Clinton........1,459,814.......51%

Obama..........1,358,785.......47%

10. Which would count if our primary was a one stepper and not a 2 step
He won the caucus side..adding the 2 Steps together it meant he won more delegates.

But HRC tried to stifle the caucus results long enough to have a faux victory lap the week of our primary. Remember her threat of the lawsuit..she was trying to stall the caucus results from being released.

http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/03/11/its-official-clinton-lost-texas/

Obama: 61 delegates from the popular vote + 38 delegates from caucuses = 99 delegates.

Clinton: 65 delegates from the popular vote + 29 delegates from Caucuses = 94 delegates.

So news people can now stop saying "two big wins in Ohio and Texas." Big win in Ohio, sure, but not Texas. Yes, Clinton could still pull it out, but that seems increasingly unlikely.

11. Obama won the Texas Caucus 56-43. Guess what? The caucus folks will dominate the TX convention.
But we're a friendly group.

8. Our delegation has seats near the front.
At least I won't have to sit there since I'm only an alternate.
